By p s y Go To Post0.2 is getting nothing but praise you fucking peasant. nobody cares about ddd hdThe final boss, and most bosses in 0.2, is terrible, like worst in the series bad... I've played through it already and the balance is garbage compared to previous games on Proud or Critical.
Game is spectacle and it looks pretty cool, but the combat is just jank.
it's a demo. great for what it is, a brief taste oh kh3(with character youll never play as). frm what i've seen and watched the secret boss is great and lots of people enjoy the bosses in 0.2
try again. not sure what balance you were expecting from something probably made by 10 people and lasts 2 hours.

Meanwhile, we've known Kingdom Hearts 2.8 has been jank for weeks now.
That's what made me stop playing.
I'm unconvinced that there is a "game story" good enough to get me to continue playing through mediocre or just not fun gameplay.
Would rather deal with a story that's incomprehensible or garbage so long as the gameplay/battle system are good, but more importantly, fun.

You don't need a whole entire team to create a decent or even great boss fight or battle scenario. You can make that criticism for the unfinished textures and visuals and slight performance stutters, but a demo's battle system and design should sell you on a product.
The criticism is that while it looks really cool, the system itself restrictive. Defensive options are completely limited to ground when the entire gameplay in this demo is catered towards aerial combat. Which would be fine, but because of how floaty Aqua is compared to past games, your maneuverability isn't as good and you're left defenseless to excessively long periods of stunlock. Dodging is also very scripted and it just leads to a not very fun experience on the highest difficulty. A lot of it is spectacle, but playing it and comparing it to past games is why it's jank.
Whereas Nier Automata and Nioh were able to do that, so I'm not sure the kind of point you're making about it being okay that the demo isn't doing as good of a job as it should be doing for a very anticipated game.

Plenty of people enjoy plenty of horrible shit..
Like dead ass most Tales game combat sucks, except for the games with Chain Capacity (Graces, Destiny 2, and I guess Berseria fits too).
Because in Chain Capacity you're actually able to do advanced things like guard cancel, step cancel, arte and ougi cancel, and having a system where good dodges reward you with links and extending your combo and your overall damage cap.

By shun Go To Postseen, watched, but did you play? Not paying $60 just for 0.2 and I can't refute nay of your claims and I won't say that I have much faith in Team Osaka either but the fact that they got rid of the command system makes it better than bbs or ddd, I can't stand those games. They suck. Getting rid of that system instantly makes it more pleasing to play than most arpgs.

I can only hope they iron out the floatiness that's been apparent ever since the first kh3(and all osaka's games), air combat options and make the combat as tight as it was in kh2fm in time for kh3.
I just wasn't expecting much of anything with 0.2 tbh. I am glad it was released, kh3 isn't a fantasy based on feedback like ffxv but I'm sure team osaka is aware of the issues that people have had with their combat and judging from nomura's dangeki interview it's the thing he's focused on making sure they get right.
By Kibner Go To PostSo, Berseria is worth a buy if I generally liked combat in Symphonia?
It's much better because you're offensive options aren't limited due to the TP system.
It will take time getting used to and you will need to wait for a bit until you get the skills you need for the best experience.
I played it on PS3 a few months ago, so I would bet that the PS4 version runs smoother.
Generally the biggest difference and improvement is that linking and chaining your arts into your ougi is much easier and better so long as you can keep your dodge/soul chain up. You don't really get droughts or gameplay being interrupted because you're out of TP and need to replenish it, or because your attacks don't chain together.
By shun Go To PostIt's much better because you're offensive options aren't limited due to the TP system.Cool. I'll actually be picking it up on PC, I think. It supports 60fps and good anti-aliasing.

Oh, neat. Since I at least one of Symphonia or Zesteria, I get another 10% discount on top of the already cheaper PC price. So, only $45 on Steam instead of $60 on PS4.
I've spent most of this month lost in Phantasy Star II. I'm starting to feel like after I finally accomplish beating this monstrosity I can just retire from gaming. All your open-world 180 hour wrpgs are nothing. Hand-holdy jrpgs are pablum. Look at this dungeon (the numbers are teleporters or stairs between floors):
All of the dungeons in the game are like this. And the enemy encounters are brutal. Getting my levels to where the FAQs say takes around 2 hours of grinding before each dungeon, but no way I'm doing that so I have to struggle through with under-leveled characters getting murdered every 5-10 steps.
I've been trying to slay this beast since the Smash Pack on the Dreamcast and I've never managed to push all the way through. But only a few more dungeons before the end...I must do this... >_<

Same. I tried to get back into them with Hearts R but it wasn't happening. Beseria looks ok but there's too many other games demanding my time for me to try and make Tales of work again.

RE7 is legit. 3 hours in, feels like just the freshener the franchise needed after the 3 games that expanded on the last, and got much worse each time.
so many games out this week i wanna play. focusing on yakuza 0 but i do want to check out re7, kh, swat 4(Again), more of the overwatch update, maybe tales. still haven't played dragon quest either

If you put DQ on the back burner, it will stay there forever. That's a game where you have to block everything else out and dedicate 2 solid months to it, or it's never happening.
See it as an opportunity to save money.
Playing RE7 in 4k HDR right now on PC with headphones on and the lights off and man I've made a huge mistake

For RGG games, I rank them as: Ishin > 5/0 > 6/4 > Kiwami > Kurohyou/2 > 3/Kenzan.
For order, I would recommend Kiwami first because you get to appreciate Kiryu and Majima relationship better if you have the first game under you.
They really need to make more Kurohyou games, I want to play a full scale RGG game like Crows (Zero).

By data Go To PostOh boy I thought 5 was awful. Topped 3 for the absolute worst non-Dead Souls of the series.
if it was the different locations and characters, then you might like 6 more depending on how you take the ending. The build up and the side quests are great. Oguri does a pretty good job in game.
Being from one of the locations that it's based on, I found 5 to be a pretty good replica and it was really cool being able to go throughout the cities and see the detail they put into their own parody. A lot of the streets are recognizable, except for the ramen village which is like 4 hours away from the actual real life city. The emphasis on passing down a person's dream and legacy really resonated with the right amount of asian cheesiness that I like.

Tell me that it has a more painful story and character than Tales of Hearts, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Symphonia 2, Tales of Legendia, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of the Tempest, etc.
Between Malik, Cheria, Pascal, out of the rest of the games only Jade and Guy from Abyss can count as enjoyable, when the rest of the characters in Abyss were whining much more.
You could also basically solo the game with Cheria and do so many crazy chains with Asbel and Hubert and Malik. Asbel is also a consistently top 3 most popular character in polls.
It's not an amazing story, but can you seriously tell me with a straight face that it has the most painful story and characters without copping the same answer that I've seen around these areas. You can't tell me Asbel is worst terrible when annoying and uninteresting idiots like Shing and Emil exist.

I love Biohazard and I want to get 7, but I'm thinking of getting the censored regular CERO D version of Biohazard 7 instead of the CERO Z Grotesque Version.
I don't think I could handle the gore and the dismemberment and the busting a dude's skull open and intestines and organs spilling out from all the things I've read about it so far... And all that seems to be in the international versions and the grotesque one. And the regular Asian one is toned down a little.
It seems to be reviewing well but I'm not sure I'm on board with the direction it's going in. I'm not a huge fan of first person games to begin with and the visceral imagery isn't what I exactly signed up for when I got into the series in the first place.
I don't wanna accidentally sign up to shit my pants...
