My Panny plasma is still going strong and I have plenty of games in the backlog to finally play while I wait for TV manufacturers to get on the same page and prices to level off.

The cane is a Skill tree weapon, I much prefer it. Starts off deceptively weak, but still has BOSS range and crowd control. You can take on multiple cunts using it

Clutch dodges against Father G's second form? Check.
Abusing hyper-armour from Charged attacks? Check.
Firearm stuns? Check.
Not getting greedy with attacks? Check.
Great video. A lot of players struggle hard with Father G as he's the first real test of everything you've been learning up to that point. People were getting turned out by this guy 10's of times when the game came out.
You'll probably roll through to the next boss with minimal fuss.

Yes, if you plan on using skill weapons exclusively. The Threaded Cane has E for STR scaling and C for SKL scaling. As you upgrade it, the STR scaling remains static whilst the SKL scaling increases. A good rule of thumb is to pick a set of weapons you are going to use, whether they're strength based or skill based, and then concentrate on raising the stats into the primary attribute, which in your case is Skill. You can put points into strength if you come across skill weapons that require a minimum strength stat to use.
Be wary that there are soft and hard caps to attributes that you may want to familiarize yourself with:

Even if you fuck up the stats allocation between str/skill, blood gems mitigate your opportunity losses with their percentage damage bonuses. There's no real wrong answers here regarding stats in relation to the Dark Souls games. There is no meta to really worry about as PVP isn't that much of a focus.

your dodges are so on point it's ridiculous loool <3 Gascoigne is supposed to be the first beginner's cockblock and you just killed him with 10 vials to spare.
lore: if you meet his daughter before fighting him, she gives you a music a box that you can use during the fight to stun him (he remembers his past etc)
I assume you're a Strength build based on your weapon? You can get an OP hammer by killing the boss on the bridge (you're well past him)
A sword-hammer hybrid, hits like a fucking TRUCK.
OR if you prefer a badass sword (good for ALL builds)

That weapon you get for beating the bridge boss looks sweet, is he past those two big wolves? Never went that way.

Actually yeh he drops his badge that opens up his weapon and armour at the messenger bath so it's not a big deal, he just has some lore spunks at different points in the game and an interaction with another NPC later on.
He has the best headgear in the game for 30,000 echoes at the messenger bath once you get his badge ;)
That's another thing Bloodborne does better than Dark Souls. If you fuck up a NPC questline you can still get the rewards by mashing them up.
As a rule of thumb, if it looks human and doesn't attack you first, don't hit them :p
