Didn't play any SP games over the weekend.
But I played enough OW on Saturday to get bored of it again.
and today was able to narrow my BBCF character search down to two. Makoto or Mai.
Play Ys it's both
Tyranny looks pretty cool. Not sure I'm that interested in the story, but I like the idea of a party based real time RPG.

By Adam Blade Go To PostUgh, need more action RPGs. Isomehtric RPGs… bleh.
… :x

Pillars is more classic class based... Tyranny is more free formed (from what I read) and classless...
The more I think about TF2 campaign, the more I'm impressed. Platforming, time shifting (that you control), the Titan "boss" battles. The final level after a certain event is amazing.
It's a shame EA sent this out to die. I went online yesterday and it had a reading of 18k. Hopefully the franchise isn't sacrificed because of EAs fukery.

I accomplished this early this morning after coming home from a late dinner party last night.
I started playing this for a week in September and beat the hell out of the game. Took a six week break because the hard time attacks didn't seem possible. I went back to it last week and after a ton of attempts I finally beat the last two colossi that were holding me down. This is probably 50-60 hours total over two months. By far the hardest trophy set I've ever unlocked.

Yeah, I will probably be keeping my PS3 hooked up since the PS4 can't play that or some PS1 games I have.
Very few native 4k games. A lot are running St 1440p. Some rwally good results when using Pro with a 1080p screen, and taking advantage of down sampling.
Consoles getting more PC by the year.

shame the software pricing isn't getting more PC by the year.
Think i'm out of the console game after this gen. Sizing up a new PC in the new year.
By Smokey Go To PostNew trailer today. Kind of hyped. ME1 and ME2 were great.same, I'm really looking forward to it even though I didn't think I cared about mass effect anymore
standard box art looks way cooler imo
about to start using a guide for bloodbourne--feel like I'm good at the gameplay but tired of second guessing myself and wasting tons of time in the process
By Rob Go To PostNo gameplay but I'm still hyped
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
I remain concerned about this
Lots of emphasis on tech and explosions like its Mass Effect 3. Should be very character and exploration driven to start...maybe the game will be that way, but that's not what they are selling so far.

i mean its a cinematic trailer, explosions and shit are whats gonna sell.
i don't think you add the mako back in and not make exploration a part of the game.

Dude sounded like Sarens lost cousin
ME2/ME3 are now BC on Xbox One
Didn't get far I to 3 primarily because of that ending bs..

No gameplay then who givesa fuck?
Ya'll know what Mass Effect is. You know what it looks like. You know what its about. I don't see why anyone should be excited about anything from a trailer that isn't gameplay.

3 in general was garbage but people love to act like its not and that only the ending is bad, and not only that pretend like the extended cut fixed the ending.
its ironic bc when they announced multiplayer everyone lost their mind. turns out multiplayer is the only reason anyone should have owned that game.

I actually loved 3. I'm not going to kill a game based on a 10 minute ending sequence if the rest was good. I found the combat to be the best in the series and the story was mostly just closing up shop on all these relationships you'd cultivated the entire way.
im confused. 10 minutes ago u were very concerned about it because it was similar to 3.
oh and gameplay reveal at The Game Awards which is a month away

Context matters. The end of a trilogy being bombastic is pretty much expected because it's the climax and resolution. I've had two games worth of developing relationships and growing in the universe, it's time to finish the fight.
With this one I want to be pulled back in the way I was with the original--mystery, intrigue, exploration, a promise of taking dialogue and relationships to the next level.
Literally Infinite Warfare looks more compelling story and exploration wise at the moment. I expect this to not be the case with the final release, but the marketing so far has been ass
By MyBackIsBroken Go To PostGonna buy bloodborne just to see how ain't shit smokey & faze are.
Wait
You been talking shit and you haven't even played the game
how very gaf of you smh

Well excited for Tyranny. I hope the evil thing turns out to be more than a semi-gimmick, but even so ... really loving the extra polish / graphical lushness compared to PoE (bodes well for PoE2 as well!) and all the little things they're doing differently in terms of gameplay this time around.
I likely won't be putting 100h+ into it like with PoE, not with all the games I wanna play coming up, but I don't think we're expected to anyway.

So is it just the first area of Bloodborne that's garbage?
It took me 3 restarts to get into Witcher 3. Once you got passed the opening town or whatever the game really opened up and was great.
CoD IW got sent out to me from Gamefly despite being in low availability and behind Dishonored 2 and Watch Dogs 2. Never been less hyped , damn.

What are the chances of the Pro being sold out for the first couple of weeks? Would like to get one before FFXV comes out
By Smokey Go To PostSo is it just the first area of Bloodborne that's garbage?I've put in ten hours and still haven't beaten the first boss. I suck at BB.
By Hitch Go To PostWhat are the chances of the Pro being sold out for the first couple of weeks? Would like to get one before FFXV comes outI pre-ordered one on Amazon. That might still be in option.
By Kibner Go To PostI pre-ordered one on Amazon. That might still be in option.Wanna get one in-store since I have a 10% discount at work :)
Can preorder from there as well, but the discount could go up to 15% (or even 20 if I get very lucky) in a few weeks, so getting one on day of launch isn't necessarily the best idea.
edit: skimming gaf, maybe its best to wait a couple of weeks. Opinions seem to be all over the place regarding how much of a difference it makes.
Loving some of the info from the ME: A gameinformer, hopefully they execute it well, mainly:
Inspiration
-The (much improved) Mako of ME1, the loyalty missions of ME2, the multiplayer of ME3

it's one of those you gotta play more than once to do the different fractions type of games... so kinda assuming the endgame time won't be 50 hours or anything
By MyBackIsBroken Go To PostBloodbone finished downloading
We all start like that ... it'll change soon.
By MyBackIsBroken Go To PostBloodbone finished downloadingthere's no shame in looking up walkthroughs/FAQs, at least till you feel like you've grasped the gameplay (for starters, you can't level up until you encounter the first boss)
and most importantly

The whole run into a boss just for the sake of dying and finally being able to level up is one of the things I don't want to go through again. That was terrible. Just want to avoid stuff like that.

and you never really know when you're going to encounter a boss either
That's what I love about the games too--but I can't find any new fucking lamps for the life of me in this game so far. Previous souls games always had a pretty tolerable series of fires to get to in order to create a chain of progress from which to explore from.

the first area has only one, but with a locked gate next to it. Remember where you found the wolves on the bridge? Go down to one of the rooms there to unlock it for an easier access to it
let's all suffer through bloodborne together
