By Professor Beef Go To PostWhat were your issues with DR2, just out of curiosity? I personally loved 2 more than 1, but that isn't to say that 1 was bad in the slightest.1 has the benefit of a time and place and a lot of intangibles that 2 could never get. The fact that it was what it was when it was is a big part of it. It's one of the most 2006 games I've ever played. Even playing it now, I'm kind of like 'man, the amount of interactivity that was available in my head isn't as much as it actually was' because the original, at the time, I had never seen anything like it. With so much clothes and items and stores. The fact that it was a Japanese company mimicking an American film mimicking Americana and consumerism made the translation particularly amazing in a way Blue Castle wouldn't have been able to. I wasn't really a huge fan of the weapon combining system in 2. Most the systems they've layered onto DR over the years, cars and weapon combos, don't feel necessary and they felt like they pushed the game further and further into the 'Wahhh sick zombie slaughter simulator! Dicks out for Romero!' stuff that is all over 3 and 4.
2 was definitely a rough around the edges, but you were like 'ok you guys get it' which 3 proved that, no, no they didn't. Chuck is kind of a dull character and everything around him is equally as dull except the bad guy, who I loved. DR1 has better ridiculous characters and dialogue like the grocery store guy and just earnest lines like 'Kind of' when Frank is asked if he can use a gun
By Smokey Go To PostThis the single player GTA V dlc finally coming out? Weird that it's exclusive to Michael.
Something I found out just now, Titan Quest was updated two weeks ago to make it play better with modern systems: ui size changes, stripping out of GameSpy, added Steam Workshop, and balance changes!
I loved this hack n' slash game so damn much. It's fantastic. Many of the team that made it went on to make Grim Dawn.

Dicks out for Romero!' stuff that is all over 3 and 4.I gotcha. I only watched a playthrough of 3 because I don't have an XBone, but I definitely noticed how off the rails things were getting, especially with the combining cars and stuff. I liked the weapon combining in DR2, but it seemed like you only ever really needed to use a handful of combinations. And while that was ever so slightly annoying, it wasn't too much of a change from DR1 (in my eyes, at least) where you would hoard a certain weapon. It just involved more work in DR2's case.

I really should give DR1 another shot. I haven't played it since it was released, so I'd probably like it more now that I know what order to do things, etc. Watching the Game Grumps play through it also helped out a ton, although I don't know what your feelings are like regarding them. They did manage to get to Overtime, but couldn't get further than that because they kept getting captured (hilarious as it was).
The gameplay is improved but I'm not playing as much until the first patch, way too many bugs and shit that doesn't work. Smh 2K

What else have you run into

Entire adjustments system is fucked.
THE ENTIRE COACHING SYSTEM IS BUSTED
Whether it's play now online or offline no matter if you use the on the fly coaching or in the huddle, none of the adjustments you make actually stick.
This is a pretty crippling issue. Even if you have everything set to manual and ACE turned off.
PS4
All the defensive adjustments keep defaulting to
Some Crash, Some Run
Neutral Def
Auto.
IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER THAT YOUR CHOICES ARE NOT HIGHLIGHTED BECAUSE YOUR CHOICES DONT ACTUALLY CHANGE. THEY ALWAYS REVERT BACK TO WHATEVER THE DEFAULT IS.
Not sure how 2K could even launch with it like this.
-THE On the fly menu shouldn't disappear after you make a choice either, it's incredibly annoying having to bring the menu up constantly to adjust your settings, in past 2k's you could adjust offense and defense in a matter of settings. The UI is a mess as well.
As a strictly PNO player this is killing the mode for me.
-scoreboard changes before shots go in
-STILL cant backout of matchups in PNO. Literally played mirror teams 4 times in a row.
-UI is garbage(i know this isn't getting fixed(
Oh yeah it was apparent from jump that the UI was ass. I don't know who thought it was a good idea.
I've played exclusively MyCareer. Ill prob keep doing so until the first patch.

my player has like a 30 dunk but im out here looking like dr j
ok
i should have built a sg with max dunk. probably look like michael jordan from space jam

The sub wheel is great but is closes after one choice...
I guess I just overlook the UI flaws because the features in MYGM are basically everything I want in a basketball game

I'm thinking of making a SG slasher type
I do that it in me right now to think of the additional grind

I really enjoyed the no-scope corn shot.
yall making me worried, i bought the game on friday and its sitting on my ps4 hdd--gonna sink into it later tonight
at least mycareer seems way better than the trash from last year
at least mycareer seems way better than the trash from last year
The gameplay is far better than 2K16 it's just got a ton of bugs atm. I'd hold off until the first patch RB.
I've only played career mode so far, so my only gripes are the fact that 2k doesn't really explain shit when it comes to training.
Like, how do you trigger workouts with your team mates on non-team practices? It says hold both triggers, but that only works for the first workout, after that it seems random, you gotta wait. Then you hit the weight room and it doesn't explain much either, and there's this bug where if your team mates have left and you try to bench press, you're stuck waiting for some invisible NPC to come back.

Watch Dogs, Mafia, Farm Sim, and Planet Coaster for me for the rest of the year
Kind of crazy, I figured I'd be interested in more. Maybe FFXV won't be awful.

have a feeling mafia 3 will be $20 bucks in a month, might grab it but it's looking pretty mediocre.
5 on 5 might not be playable given the UI
unless you just wanna wing the shit because its just that bad

By P.SY! Go To Postgrinding = buying vc
you can only get so far with buying a vc and using it on a player. you can't get to a 90+ without playing. different from previous versions.
By P.SY! Go To Postso you admit to buying vc?
yep.
oh no!
$20 only got me to 83 i think...aint what it used to be.
By reilo Go To PostWait, it took you two full days to get to 90 including dropping $20 to get you to 83???
Yeah
Only thing i can think of is they wanted to cut down on 99s just running around in the park by people who could just pay for it. They're turning down $$ in the short term, but will probably get that back in some other way.
Ive exclusively played myplayer since release. I'm up to the january part of the schedule, and I've played every game. When i was in the park earlier i didn't see any 90s, and that's because you have to play the SP a decent amount to have the ability to progress your character to the 90 range. If you look at the image
I have 0 upgrades available. If I never play SP again, this is as far as I can go on my character. I have to play/practice, and I'll get additional attribute points to use.
It's pretty grindy.
Haven't even touched MyTeam, PlayNow, MyGM, etc. Game is stacked. Waiting on that patch tho.
By reilo Go To PostWait, it took you two full days to get to 90 including dropping $20 to get you to 83???I assume it's like 2k16 where you had to actually play your character in order to get ability cap unlocks. Like, even if you bought all the VC in the world, you would max out at like 88 overall. You had to play so many full games to unlock stat caps to get up to like 94 overall.
By Smokey Go To PostWait.
Been grinding damn near all day/weekend since Friday. Finally got to 90 ;_;
My 3 pt shoring caps at 90 something and I'm a PG too. What kind of bullshit is this, 2k?
By rvy Go To PostWait. There's different subclasses, sharpshooter, playmaker and I think one or two others.

Also your height/arm length factors into it, maybe even weight. Gotta have something to counter the 6'7 guards with 8'10 wingspan and regular season Steph Curry shooting ability
