Class based, incredibly poor ranking structure, and stats that generally don't focus on overall performance relative to everyone else - "everyone else sucks but me" is what Overwatch is basically built on. Its gonna end up being the most fucked large FPS community ever at this rate.

I still have fun with it. It's not my primary game and something I usually go to after I played a bit of R6 so maybe that's why I haven't gotten bored of it yet.

I still play it and like it. But then again, I'm a sucker for that kind of game style. It's a fresher TF2 for me, which I put multiple thousands of hours in.
It really, really needs some added content at this point. All it has now is Ranked (garbage), Quick Play (another form of garbage), Weekly Brawls (garbage that's okay), and Private Matches.
Its a FUN game, but mechanically I feel like there's something wrong or missing every time I play. I booted up Destiny, Blops 3, and even Halo 5 at my friends place and its like... the gunplay in Overwatch needs a lot of attention. I keep thinking they're gonna do something more but all Blizzard seems to want to do is fuck around with McCree's fall off damage.

yea none of that addresses what I'm talking about--the contact animations are better there but you could make all those movements in 2k16
I'm basically talking about the hold down turbo and flick the right stick for the signature hesitations, sizeups, etc. Those were removed and the hesitations in the prelude seem like trash in comparison
they weren't removed, you just perform them manually is all.
and obviously the prelude players are all low level developer look alikes so they aren't going to have access to the best dribble packages that some nba players have.

maybe that answers it--they could just have scrub packages, but I still don't know how they'll get something like Hardens signature sizeup to work manually on the sticks, it's very nuanced--could be its the same stuff but you just have to chain it some kind of way though
