A Game of Zones : House Bryant, House Wade (SLAENT BET)
When you play the game of zones, you win or you tank.
" Dynasties fall lord Riley " :ugeek:
The story as it is now..
The kinslayer, the self proclaimed savior of Miami and future king LeBron James has rejected Rileys offer in a stunning act of betrayal. Slaying him, and taking his rings, and his talents North. No one can stand in his way but for two knights long past their time--one a former rival and one a former brother. Ser Bryant of Lakerton and Ser Wade of Heatsville.
These two talents were once the dawn of an age. The mere sight of their talents were rumored to have once blinded men and left them wheeping. Time has nicked at their armor. A cut here, a cut there--they are not the men we once knew.
But this age needs heros. Heros that can stand up to the kinslayer.
YOU MUST CHOOSE YOUR ALLEGIANCE
I am offering 60 dollars worth of videogames (because fuck paying off your pay day loans) to those who can correctly guess the abilities of our aging heros.
Rules: Choose House Bryant or House Wade and guess their stat line on the season. PPG, RPG, APG FG%. Throw in games played as a tie breaker.

Got some thinking to do.
It's real hard to say what kobes line is going to be hwen we haven't really seen him for over a year though.

Wade's gonna surprise a ton of people this year. Even though Bosh should be the main option I don't think wade will put up less than 18 shots a game.
I think Kobe's line will looks like this

Wade's FG% is gonna drop like 5-6% I think without Lebron, maybe further. I'd put it around 48.5%

House BryantDude i'll give you $60 in video games if he averages these numbers.
27.1 ppg, .453FG%, 5.1rb, 5ast, GP: 72
Hell make it $100
Those are the numbers Kobe averaged just before he tore his achilles. That's… out there.
I think the FG% is probably high. But he's gonna take shots. And minutes.

I woke up like 10 minutes ago....unemployment has been weird.
I woke up like 10 minutes ago….unemployment has been weird.STILL?!
Yup. Interviewed at a few places but literally every time I'm called in there's a dozen people waiting with me and the interviewers say that they're interviewing 50-70 people over the course of a month.
Wade should have the overall better stats but I expect his PPGs to tumble:
PPG: 19PPG RPG: 4.5 APG: 7.0 FG%: 45% Games played: 60
PPG: 19PPG RPG: 4.5 APG: 7.0 FG%: 45% Games played: 60
My initial thoughts are that Wade's numbers will probably be ok but his FG will drop like a rock. Need to study this a bit more before I pick a stance

You think so? Kobe hasn't averaged under 20 since like 1998 if you don't count the 6 horrible games he played last season..
I think Kobe and Wade could hover around 22 ppg..

He's 36 and coming off the worst injury in basketball and a major knee injury.
Malone and Kareem are the only 36+ year old players in the history of the league to average 20 PPG on NBA-caliber efficiency (so discounting Wizards' Jordan's chucking) and Malone and Kareem weren't coming off these horrible injuries.

Predicting Kobe to average 20 PPG or more or is projecting him to do something historically unprecedented.
Sports medicine has advanced a ton since though. I can definitely see Kobe scoring at least 20PPG. He's a prolific scorer and his team is gonna suck so he shall chuck.Wade: 70 GP, 22 PPG, 6 RPG, 5 APG, 58% TS%

Sports medicine has advanced a ton, but tear your achilles tendon is still one of the worst injuries an aging player can get.
He is going to chuck… he is going to take 25 shots a game.. if he hits 47-50%
Yeah I'm not at all worried about the points they'll put up (again like others I think they'll be similar, depending on pace).
The FG% is where I am torn. My initial thought is that Kobe could be down to low 40s if he doesn't get his lift back. While Wade could still maintain a decent clip (~44/45%) by reducing his outside shots and sticking to midrange and closer.

Kobe should be around 43% to 45% and about 33% to 35% from 3..
Kobe's fadeaway should give him a shot to go to if his lift isn't the same..

Elton Brand dropped from MVP level to league average statistically after his Achilles injury. Okur went from above average to non-NBA caliber. The other stories are similar. And Kobe will be recovering from this injury at 36. And he was terrible in the games he did play last year. I'll be surprised if he gets above 20 PPG.

Wilkins recovered from the injury fairly well.. and at about the same age
I think Kobe will do fine but there's quite a difference between tearing your Achilles at age 32 vs age 35. Wilkins had an absolutely amazing season after though.Elton Brand dropped from MVP level to league average statistically after his Achilles injury. Okur went from above average to non-NBA caliber. I am far from a Kobe fan.. but Kobe stays in peak shape.. and sports medicine now is amazing compared to when Wilkins did it.. I like kobe's chances to return to decent form
its not really about who you think has better stats just who you're more comfortable projecting stats for

But Kobe is terrible shape right now and is really overweight.
if Kobe can get over the Achilles I could see him putting up inefficient but strong numbers while playing zero defense
so basically what he was doing before he got hurt

You said he stays in peak shape, bruh. What kind of peaks we talking bout? :ugeek:
Bust your shit and you will gain weight...
But until he busted his shit few players were in Kobe shape...
