Shocked when I saw the news on Twitter. He had cancer? I didn't even know.
Crazy coincidence that my his & hers MGS Diamond Dogs jackets are going to be delivered on Monday.
Sad for sure.

Yeah it is getting reported everywhere now... I was going to make a thread but nothing was being reported and people like Lady Gaga was saying it was a hoax..
But RIP Ziggy Stardust

Damnit. Also to make everyone feel worse I just realized tonight a bunch of the artists from the 60s/70s era are going to start dropping like flies the next couple of years.
Definitely listening to Bowie tonight. We should discuss songs in here so it's not all gloom and doom. Right now I'm listening to a bunch of stuff off Outside.

He was good in The Prestige.
On Friday I faced time with my son and we listened to Blackstar while making weird facing at each other.
I'm devastated right now.

Man I had the Jump CD rom
In part of it you could cut your own Jump video with the footage already taken for the video itself, probably one of the many things in my childhood that inspired me to do visual design.

Some people go through life not ever accomplishing anything, and there are also those who die and it's absolutely impossible to believe. David Bowie is both one who managed to do everything and be so important to everyone that his death seems absolutely unbelievable.
He will be sorely missed.
He will be sorely missed.
Truly shocking, just celebrated his birthday.
I had no idea he had cancer.
When I went to uni, the best of Bowie was one of the three albums I took.

RIP. He was one of those people who seemed like he'd live forever.
Ageless and just as dynamic now as he ever was. What a legend.

This news sucks. One of the greats.
Also puts some perspective on Black Star. Especially with lines like "look up I'm in heaven".

I'm listening to space oddity right now. It's gonna be Bowie day while at work. Gotta pop The Labyrinth in this week.
Listening to one of his many hits collections on Spotify. Falling in love with Modern Love and Rebel Rebel all over again. As fresh as when I first heard them.
I have his best hits album that I ripped of my parents CD collection from years ago. I'm always amazed at how many songs I know when I never really knew it was him.
I've spent my whole life listening to him, he's my absolute hero, and I always knew this day would come and it would break my heart, and here it is and I can't believe it.
Greatest rock star who ever lived and ever will live. RIP Queen Bitch.

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostLazarus is such an eerie song to listen to now. :(I think that today a collective light bulb went on over the heads of anyone who's engaged with the new material recently. Major Tom as skeleton, Lazarus in the hospital bed, the whole thing. The man was a genius and we shall never see his like again.
Blackstar is good. I'll probably start to have more quantifiable feelings in a few more listenings.
