Microsoft is dropping IE8, IE9, and IE10 support next week, which means SL&ENT is as well
- Page 1 of 1
Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
Internet Explorer 11 offers improved security, increased performance, better backward compatibility, and support for the web standards that power today’s websites and services. Microsoft encourages customers to upgrade and stay up-to-date on the latest browser for a faster, more secure browsing experience.
It means you should take action. After January 12, 2016, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for older versions of Internet Explorer. Security updates patch vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malware, helping to keep users and their data safer. Regular security updates help protect computers from malicious attacks, so upgrading and staying current is important.https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/WindowsForBusiness/End-of-IE-support
Given that, if you are on IE10, please upgrade. I will stop testing on IE10 with upcoming feature sets, especially when it comes to CSS.

Interesting. Chrome is crushing it, I expected Firefox to lead (I use Chrome).

What do you guys use? Chome?
I remember when it was a struggle to get a major client to drop IE6 compatibility in our contract.
In 2011.
Good riddance old terrible IEs.

Most of my time developing even a basic af site revolved around writing IE exceptions for every damn thing that wasn't showing up or positioned properly.
We don't support IE at all anymore. At most it's 3%~ of our users on any site, and the only time we had to actually support it was demoing a site to execs trying to view it from their internal corporate network that was all IE.
Unless it's truly something broken, like not being able to log in.

I support it for SL&ENT to the extent of:
1) Does everything function properly?
2) Does everything have a reasonable level of graceful degradation for the UI?

Apple are dicks for not releasing a current Safari for Windows though. I just assume if Chrome works, Safari will be okay.
Well they're bigger dicks for making Chrome use Safari's rendering engine on iOS and not giving them access to the faster Javascript engine until iOS8 haha.
lol yeah, amazing how Apple is getting away with that when Microsoft almost got split in two over it.
