What are some of your 2016 Goals?
Was thinking about this today. What are your 2016 goals? Not resolutions as I think the two require a different mindset. I'll list mine.
-Start down the road of being a good father to my newborn (March)
-Pay more attention / Invest in Stock market
-Get my Linux certs by summer
-Lose / tone about 15 pounds
-Pay off car by summer
-Upgrade PC. Going back home. I think consoles mentally fukd me in 2015.
Ambitious Goal
-Go back k to Hawaii in 2016. I really need this to happen ;_;
I tried to list stuff with tangible values. Yall got any specific goals in mind?

Lose weight and try not to fuck up the first year of my child's life.
Most people never stick to their resolutions, and I'm not different. However I did quit smoking on a resolution so there's always a chance.

That's why I try and refer to them as goals and make it tangible. Instead of "lose weight", can you think of a specific number. I think that's why a lot of resolutions tend to slip. There's no specific goal and whatever you want to work on is defined in broad terms.
Continue being a positive person - that shit is hard work lol. No one ever really tells you how hard it is. Gotta stick to it.
Hopefully I'm in Cali by the end of the year working on Mandarin and getting paid for it... but if not, I want to learn how to be a college student again.
Read more books, comics
Stay closer to family... my sister is in college and brother is in high school. They need it
I'm getting a better idea of who I am now that I'm starting to decompress a bit more being a civilian again. Just gotta keep it up. Its work.
Oh, and island hop/skydive. I'm doin the fuck out of it

- Create and learn more than I "play". Will put a solid hard cap of 8 hours a week gaming.
- Build up my social group more. I want to have more good friends I can call on for summer BBQ's, board game nights, parties, etc.
- Lose 30 pounds and then gain 20 of it back in muscle
- Pick the right girl for once

- Get on solid ground financially: have enough extra $$$ each month to spread around to various savings/long-term priorities
- Keep my job going well, hopefully including a pay bump or two
- Read more
- Stay sober
- Continue to manage my anxiety

- Getting my CCNA certification before I forget everything I've studied
- Getting a girlfriend "officially" for the first time
- Loosing some weight I guess
- Increasing the variety of my sources of incomes
- Becoming a better communicator
- Getting the money or a job that will allow me to get the full treatment at the dentist
All realistic goals imo.

I try to not set one large specific number. It's a more daunting task. I lost 50 pounds before my wife got pregnant and gained it all back. I'll lose that again. I just set 10 pound incremental goals. More positive reinforcement that way.

Get a programming job is the main one. Since having money and not being poor will allow me to do so many things haha. Here's to hoping the hiring events I'm going to this month pan out.
Also I've actually been pretty good at keeping resolutions. Granted I don't wait for the new year. I usually decided to make some life changing decision or work towards them at random times throughout the year then start asap. I still have no idea how I do it.

Post here more. Get back in shape. Make it to 30 (December). Drink a little less (what can I say, I shoot for the stars).
-write more to better understand myself. I have started writing a journal and hope to write down my thoughts more. What really makes me tick.
-read more. I have bought a lot of books the last few years, but have not finished many of them.
-lose weight and then maintain it. I am always good at losing weight, but as soon as I stop running I put it back on.
-run a 5k under 20
-run a 10k under 40
-run a 21k under 90
-cut out drinking to get drunk. I enjoy drinking, but on nights out I just say fuck it and get hammered to keep up with the lads.
-maintain a GF. Cut out the one night stands and look for something serious.
-think more positively.
-become fluent in Korean

Scored no goals today but assisted 2. Highlight was catching their forward in a tackle and then hitting the counter, followed by a delicate short pass to our forward who taps it in, whilst their keeper lays on the floor at me feet.
