By Gabyskra Go To PostIs God capable of sarcasm?Look at the state of the world today, then ask that question again.
By Gabyskra Go To PostYes. Your point? Just mentioned a SG that makes more sense for the future than Afflalo and who is available this summer, off the top of my head. Of course I'd have him in mind.Still waiting for you to announce any non-French alternative. All I've heard the last 2 months is Fournier, and you even used it as a measuring stick of the Knicks 2016 FA period. Come on now.
Also you really need to realize you talk about Seraphin more than I do. Once again, I feel obliged to tell you i do not truly think he's the new Duncan. He's almost the worst frog in the NBA this year, he's been playing horrible in december, no question.
BTW lemme show you something interesting:

Similar numbers and PER, and I've been ragging on Afflalo recently for his numbers. What's Evan's excuse? Also Fournier is gonna cost 13 mill next season minimum... now if you call that an investment cost for a younger player, ok. I'm just saying there are more SGs out there who might just be more of a value in FA for that investment cost.

But the reason why you can not be too specific about next summer is you don't know what the market will be like, yet. What you do know is how to prepare for it. I don't think I've ever said they should go after Evan specifically, just that they can, like they can go for about 10 better centers than Lopez, with some possibly costing less than Lopez, even with the cap increase...
Evan has been playing horrible since late november tbh. Can't find his place, just like Oladipo could not in november.
Fair point. I'll stop bringing up Seraphin so much also. I will say it's just hilarious to me that if you combined some of the things Seraphin and O'Quinn to well you'd have a nice backup PF... Kyle Seraphin? Also what would've Fisher done if Porzingis wasn't as good as he has been this early? Yikes...
By 3SidedPolygons Go To Postknowing how to decipher Phil-osophy,
i'll take this as he wants the lakers to lose, so that they'll have a better shot of landing simmons.
he'll then come over as VP of basketball operations along side his bff, jeannie buss in 2017 and run the most youngest talented, up and coming team in the league.
By reilo Go To PostKarl just passed him for most wins at 5th all time, and I mean, he did face his teams in the Finals before.
Oh I know. But is a guy with 11 rings who just got passed up in wins by a guy with none and is also notorious for being conceited on the down low NOT willing to throw a little shade Karl's way?
"Knows how to get teams to win" smacks a little bit of not when it counts though

This could be another January classic Knicks vs. Spurs game or a horrible blowout loss, have no clue with this team. If Fisher is smart he'll have Lopez guarding Duncan and KP on LMA.
NBA TV @NBATVGoddammit. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
NEWS: Anthony Davis is in the Pelicans locker room after diving for a ball. He was grabbing his back. #INDatNOP
By vic Go To PostGoddammit. Hopefully it's nothing serious.Man.....
By vic Go To PostGetting hustled at the paint by the freaking Nuggets less Faried…To be fair, the Nuggets have as many decent bigs as the Magic have decent wings.
LaVine, Kevin Martin, Bazz might be the single worst non-Sixers point guard and wing combo in the league. And it gets so much run. Smitch is so hilariously incompetent.
By unknown Go To Postdam kp looking very active. Was there ever a game we were not competitive in when Porzingis was feeling it?
By DY_nasty Go To Posti can't believe RJ is still in the leagueCan't believe MKG is still alive after what RJ did you him
By pilonv1 Go To PostlolI took the spread
The thing I like most about Porzingis is the variety of ways in which he gets points. That should be better documented by advanced stats.

By Gabyskra Go To PostThe thing I like most about Porzingis is the variety of ways in which he gets points. That should be better documented by advanced stats.I don't know why they keep forcing that Melo/Lopez/Porz frontcourt
even if it does "work", everyone should acknowledge that it shouldn't.
By unknown Go To Postlance provin dy wrong.i never shit on lance tho
By DY_nasty Go To PostI don't know why they keep forcing that Melo/Lopez/Porz frontcourtWhy should they? It works because Lopez can pass the ball, and the big-to-big pass is hard to stop. It works with Carmelo also because of his triple threat nature. If something rationally works and the numbers back it up, why limit it?
even if it does "work", everyone should acknowledge that it shouldn't.
EDIT: Also Lopez protects Porzingis from foul trouble. Duncan would fundamental him to death, at least LMA posts up mainly to fadeaway.
By The Frankman Go To PostWhy should they? It works because Lopez can pass the ball, and the big-to-big pass is hard to stop. It works with Carmelo also because of his triple threat nature.it doesn't work because its always putting kp in no man's land and lopez makes it harder to drive because he'll never draw a center out the paint. both kp and melo would do better spacing wise
By masud Go To PostWe won a quarter!January is usually when Knicks ball in Texas.
By DY_nasty Go To Postit doesn't work because its always putting kp in no man's land and lopez makes it harder to drive because he'll never draw a center out the paint. both kp and melo would do better spacing wiseLopez goes to the post to setup the O, KP goes to the 3-point line, Anthony sets up the other side of the court. Knicks have been running motion to switch the postup between Lopez and Carmelo, did alot of that in the Miami game.

I'm amazed the storyline here is still how Lopez helps Porzingis and never how Porzingis helps Lopez more than the other way around.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthat's dumb as fuck thoOh god. There comes the triangle talk. I can't wait until we reference Luc Longley.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthat's dumb as fuck thoIt's what he's done since the beginning of the season doe.
By Gabyskra Go To PostI'm amazed the storyline here is still how Lopez helps Porzingis and never how Porzingis helps Lopez more than the other way around.I'm amazed the storyline isn't how they all help each other as a team. Here comes the "Porzingis is the only player balling on the Knicks" talk.
By Gabyskra Go To PostThe thing I like most about Porzingis is the variety of ways in which he gets points. That should be better documented by advanced stats.Well they already have tracking for every type of shot possible or do you mean a single stat for scoring variety?
