But yeah there are a few almost players in the history of the NBA... Kidd being one of them.. think he has had 118 for his career...Magic had only 79.. LBJ is 3rd on the list with 53

Dude was never anywhere near polished enough offensively to have an offense run through him though. That's still the case today.

His hunger is questionable. His talent carried him to some big nights, but he was content to take L's often enough too.

Andrew Wiggins regression would be concerning to me if I was a Wolves Fan. He's worse at legitimately everything this season. He's putting up a few more points, but on a dip in efficiency, and his rebounding and assist numbers are down too.
I think Smitch is running the wrong offense but in all fairness - Rubio and Wiggins can't shoot 3's worth a lick.
All of the shooting work with Rubio has failed miserably. Wolves development staff and shooting coaches need to be axed and replaced. Considering the talent level, youth, and degree of ineptitude, they really need to spend as much money as it takes to get the top guys in the world at it.

He's playing well, but Scott's also recently said Nance should have been a lottery pick. Which I'm not sure how D'Angelo doesn't take that as a dig.
It feels like he's trying to do this zen master Phil bullshit where he used the media to talk to his players. But he's not Phil.

Not all players shoot 3s well.. there are other shots besides 3s and the coach is supposed to help the players get the shots that are best for them..
He hasn't regressed too much, he is shooting about the same % now as last .437 to .433 and eFG% is close .454 to .449 while averaging 4 more points per game.

"Jimmy...I'm already a demon"
I really think the problem with Wiggins right now is that Mitchell is dead set on having him create his own offense. An isolation for Wiggins is seriously his go-to coaching call. And he's not particularly great at it. His handle is better, it's improved certainly, but when you have Rubio out there, why would you not have him just set up everything? Rather than having Wiggins take contested shots, either at the elbow or around the basket, Ricky should be putting him in spots to get cleaner looks, since he's one of the best in the game at running at running an offense.
Nothing about the way Mitchell coaches makes any sense and I'm just done. He just always places the blame on other people. The players are too young, they weren't coached well in college, he has to get them out of their bad habits, whatever, dude.

I know Flip said he was using the same system as he used for the Wizards at one point--not sure if that's changed of late. If that's truly the case, Rubio should be dominating the ball most of the time aside from plays breaking down or getting the ball to KAT for iso's.

The Spurs this year have twelve players in the top 100 RAPM... WTF.
14/15 of their roster is positive.
Makes me think they will probably underperform in the playoffs when teams like GSW can play their starters big minutes. We'll see, though.

It seems like the offense Mitchell has set up doesn't really run plays for Towns. Unless that mid range jumper he takes all the time is the designed set. And with Smitch, hell, it might actually be.
All too often, though, the ball gets taken out of Ricky's hands and way worse playmakers end up with it. Zach or Wiggins will get it and are tasked with generating offense. Even though they can't really do that effectively, Zach especially.

Sixers are the anti-Spurs, 13/15 players with a negative RAPM (Ish Smith and Carl Landry are the others, and Landry is barely above 0) and 12/15 in the bottom 100. What a time.
It's too bad Silver had to fuck with the tank... my theory is now that Hinkie was secretly conducting an experiment on determining the minimum baseline for an NBA team. Full results to be presented at SLOAN 2017.

Byron Scott believes Julius Randle needs to mature.BE A MAN
"Bottom line is, like I told home before, you've gotta grow up," Scott said. "The main thing I don’t like is when you take him out of games, how he reacts sometimes." While Randle has said that his frustration is just over playing time, this is the second time this week alone that Scott has openly critiqued his big man, and it's clear that the head coach favors playing Larry Nance over Randle right now.
You must be swift as a coursing river…
BE A MAN
With all the force of a great typhoon…
BE A MAN
With all the strength of a raging fire..
Mysterious as the dark side of THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!
I just feel like all that "maturity" business is like the epitome of projecting. Why would anyone respect a guy who keeps talking shit about his players to the media?
I'm not sure if he thinks him saying that is going to make Julius grow up more. Because it will probably make Julius hate him even more.
Goran Dragic has his own theory for the struggles of the Phoenix Suns.
“It feels like they’re always changing something,” Dragic told Yahoo Sports. “They’re not like Miami, San Antonio, those teams that are really loyal when they find something.”
Dragic was traded by the Suns last February to the Miami Heat after the team signed a third ball dominant guard in Isaiah Thomas to go with him and Eric Bledsoe.
“Me and Bledsoe, we built really great chemistry together, we played well and the whole team did. Everybody expected that we’re going to get some big guys that we thought we needed, but they did another move, they bring in a point guard and it was tough,” Dragic told Yahoo. “I was a little bit frustrated. It was tough, especially for me, because I was playing off the ball all the time, and I was guarding [small forwards]. That was tough for me, but they did what they did.”
Dragic will return to play the Suns on Friday.
“I always believe when you find some pieces that you leave those pieces [alone]. But then you upgrade the other positions. Like San Antonio is doing. They always have the Big Three, but then it’s a good team. They always find another player at another position, so they’re always good. But that’s not my call,” Dragic told Yahoo, with an uncomfortable chuckle. “I was just there to play basketball. I tried to do my job.”

Melo's shootaround comments were...weird.
When asked about pride being a factor and not wanting to lose twice in a couple of days - a clear indication to Atlanta's mindset - Melo's response was "twice in a week? Yea that's in the back of our minds, if we lose it will be like 3 times in a row"
and then when the reporter tried to clarify about the way Atlanta feels (hint hint, you guys won that last game) he responded with something to the affect of "it's like a playoff atmosphere, like going 3-1 or going 1-3"
It just seemed like a) he doesn't know math or b) legitimately thinks they lost Sunday's game.

The whole, "he has to stop pouting when I take him out of a game" comment is true. Randle does have to stop that. But do your rotations / timing even make sense?
It just seems like a bad thing to be calling out rookies. Particularly from the coach. But I'm not sure who else would answer questions about player development stuff. A senior player? Could just alienate the rookie from said player. Putting it on the player himself? It's not always great to be throwing rookies in the deep end with the media.
It's probably best to just not comment and say something passive and throw away "we've discussed it and we're always in contact". Or something like that, i guess. But that then really leaves fans to come up with conspiracy shit about the issue.
