Is this some dig at my support of Fisher? lol.
Snyder was 12-22 this time last year. Fisher's never been more than 4 games below .500 all year.
And that Jazz team was more talented. It took the FO trading away Kanter before they actually got good.
You can't blame the Suns problems on the FO but give credit to Snyder for their post-trade turnaround last year. At least I'm consistent.
Benching Kanter during a contract year was always going to be toxic to the locker room so it's hard to say what Snyder should have done differently to start the year when the problem was Kanter playing over Gobert.
By diehard Go To PostBut last year…
Last year was a throwaway. I never said Fisher was a great coach - just that he needed another year before we knew. At the end of the year when guys like Galloway and Amundson and LT were playing hard and playing well and executing on both ends - that's when I thought, ok he just might be alright.

Is Fisher getting better? Slowly, sure. But he's not alright…

Me and you keep seeing different things when we watch this team.
Also, you have the Phil thing reversed. Last year he stepped back, this summer he said he'd be more involved at Fisher's request. Although all indications are that not much has changed.
Nets are apparently being very aggressive in the trade market looking to improve.
Mitch better send them some help, Lou Williams or Bass might give em a slight boost.

I just looked at their numbers. Fuck. GS is getting Durant aren't they.
It isn't even like we're falling apart either. We're pretty clearly the third or fourth best team in the league.
It's just that SA and GS are on a different level than everybody.

SG: Whomever
SF: Whomever
PF: KD

You can keep the starting lineup and just replace Barnes with KD. Have Iggy and scraps coming off the bench. That team will blow so many teams out by the middle of the third that I can't imagine their starters actually playing much more than 30 mpg.
stars would be forced to superteam more than they already are and the pitiful plebs leftover would be forced to call players like Jarrett Jack and Ramon Sessions franchise players

The most ridiculous part about the next off-season will be what max contracts will be handed out by teams that don't land an actual max player. Partly why I am worried about what Portland is gonna do, because it's sort of a "use it or lose it" proposition.

This summer will be wild.
Some things of note.
The EWL (Expected Win-Loss) of the Warriors is 27-6 (2nd overall), whereas the Spurs EWL is 31-4 (1st overall). Accurate or nah?

thats a hinkie move
get a veteran to stop the crying--but the dude isn't a particular great locker room presence and is a non factor on the court
in many ways inferior to zombie gerald wallace as a mentor who can at least try to teach you how not to get injured

I don't understand are people being paid to keep sabotaging the Sixers. One thing to try get picks but how many years they gonna pull this.
Hinkie can't tank after this season and keep his job. Too many eyes on him. He already got clipped and the Ish trade and the Brand move are both things he did to stop the outside attack.
By rodeoclown Go To PostAnd yet, when Hornacek gets fired, I'd hire him a second later to take over for Smitch.I would too. Hornacek has been great. With a crazy vet like KG to keep shit locked down also....
I mean, Horny has done some really good development stuff with the guys that have played under him.

what is chance of rockets missing playoffs like thunder last year and a young team like portland or some other team taking their 8th seed?
dallas is overachieving i am amazed they are even doing this decent.

By reilo Go To PostSome things of note.I think the current thought is that in basketball, winning close games at a high rate may be a repeatable skill, so it's hard to say. And a lot of projection models still think the Spurs are more likely to come down to earth than the Warriors based on last year.
The EWL (Expected Win-Loss) of the Warriors is 27-6 (2nd overall), whereas the Spurs EWL is 31-4 (1st overall). Accurate or nah?
I think objectively it's hard to say one team is substantially better than the other right now, especially given how much less the Spurs are relying on the original Big Three this year. However, if the two teams are evenly matched it means HCA is going to be really, really important, and I doubt the Warriors relinquish HCA.
By shun Go To Postwhat is chance of rockets missing playoffs like thunder last year and a young team like portland or some other team taking their 8th seed?FiveThirtyEight currently thinks the Rockets have a 48% chance of making the playoffs, whereas the Blazers have a 52% chance of making the playoffs. They also list Portland with a higher Elo rating:

Good I want Westbrook to be a legit FA in 2017. It's a good FA now, if he joins it with the goal of being moved its a great FA.

Yeah 2016 is a bad FA outside of Durant and maybe whiteside and Horford nobody deserve max or near max but teams got to spend that money..... I expect Batum, Bazemore, and Conley to all get 16+, possibly even 18+.
Nets traded Keith Bogans, MarShon Brooks, Kris Humphries, Kris Joseph, Gerald Wallace, a 2014 1st round draft pick, a 2016 1st round draft pick and a 2018 1st round draft pick to the Boston Celtics for Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and D.J. White. Boston has the option to swap 1st round draft picks with Brooklyn in 2017.ONE TRADE. A. SINGLE. GODDAMN. TRADE.
No Durant for the Thunder tonight, but no Casspi for the Kings either. =\

yep, and Billy King still has the nerve to be active on the trade market. Some lucky team is about to perform a trade rape..:.. Probably the Suns. They got the pieces and already trade raped Miami for Dragic so they know what they are doing.

I'll take some 2nd rounders for Bass or Lou or Young. Whatever we get back is inconsequential, the point would be to improve The Nets or keep them at their current mediocre state. So we can keep 2nd worst team odds come draft night
