Also be honest do you really think that the Lakers would still be okay from then to now if you had receive that Chris Paul trade?
Franchise might probably still be the same mess just treadmill as low tier team instead of tank.

Possibly. We would have looked more appealing in the FA market than our current dumpster fire with old cranky ball hog though. Nash would of never happened too.
lmao. we get eaten alive on a game by game basis on the boards because dumbfuck cant realize brandon bass is only 6"6 and refuses to play black
Drew Garrison @DrewGarrisonSBNThis is what happens when you go too deep in the tank.
So Aldridge just said D'Angelo has no idea what to ask Byron in order to improve and is completely lost as a point guard currently. Amazing.
By diehard Go To PostI'm just glad the Lakers are developing their 32 year old pglool
That tank life ain't for everyone. I remember when Tim Hardaway Jr. just went and vomited on the court last season.

We played the Bobcats and suddenly all my complaints where washed away when he made Hawes look like a HOF.
Byron: "I start questioning, from my standpoint, if this is important to guys."clueless and thickheaded isn't even the right adjective to describe this dumbfuck.
I don't know Byron, maybe you should do something about it, maybe like i dunno, communicate directly with them.

No one feels like this. We all want Byron gone. Maybe 15-20 games ago I was down with him when it looked like Russell was taking some big steps forward and developing but for a while he's lost the team, lost any semblance of credibility to teach them defense and offense.
He's a hack, Jimmy's been a hack for a long time, and Mitch probably has to go at this rate too. Clean house and start over from the FO on down.

Long term tanking and developing good habits are always at odds. Look at Minny. They've been ass for so long they have no idea how to be good now that they finally have the talent on paper to win 40+ games.
It's what guys like me warned about when we went down this path 3 years ago.
If Russell and Randle took big steps to improve defensively throughout the year, if Clarkson took big overall steps in year 2, if the entire team played with solid defensive principles and habits - we'd be better than we are, racking up more wins, and shooting ourselves in the foot in trying to get Simmons.
It's a shitty situation to be in

This is why I hate this tanking shit. It's awful.
lou williams has value but his contract is pricey for a complete defensive sieve
also worst part about tanking is getting hyped for someone in college and he turns out to be just not that good in the nba
i thought oladipo would be like super michael finley

not sure, he lead the team in RPM his rookie season but his defense has slipped this year while his scoring efficiency has gone up a bit. this is probably on skiles' offense but he's not assisting as much as he did last season either. as it stands, the magic are so poorly balanced in terms of player fit its hard to see him reaching his ceiling without some big moves. its one thing for a team to have a problems like a finesse center who plays little defense, no real volume scorer, a total inability to get free throws, and guards who cant shoot--its another when a team has literally *all* of those problems at the same time.
oladipo breaking out in his third of college was always a red flag
you gotta put up those boss numbers by your second season or i'm not convinced
its why I was sour on jerian grant

So, who do you want to keep on the wings, ideally?
Hood
Basically.. lol Byron Scott
“It’s a great opportunity [here], and I realize that,” Hood told Basketball Insiders. “You look around the league… a young guy makes a mistake, he gets pulled out of the game or he gets sent down to the D-League or something like that.”

i think fournier is gone at the deadline because he's an rfa this summer + he's got skills that other teams value. oladipo's idiocy makes me rage but he doesnt have to be paid for another year so he's basically insurance for whatever happens to fournier. i would like harris to also be moved, he's solid but again he doesn't fit with the other pieces we have and with aaron gordon on the roster he's more expendable. would love to swap him for gallinari but hes been ballin as of late so maybe its not possible anymore.
The four longest tenured GM's in the NBA are Pat Riley, R.C Buford, Danny Ainge, and Grunfeld. Riley's Heat have won three titles with two other Finals appearances. Since Buford took the helm in San Antonio, the Spurs have won four titles and appeared in another Finals series. AInge's Celtics have made the Finals twice, winning once. In stark contrast, Grunfeld's Wizards have won just three playoff series since he took control of the team in June of 2003.
he'll keep dodging death though
During the Grunfeld era, the Wizards have a won less than 42 percent of their games, 25th best in the NBA – ahead of just New York, Sacramento, Philadelphia, Charlotte and Minnesota.
