Since there was a good amount of Dirk talk last page, here is his moment that made me a fan of the NBA and start following my local team:

Wonder what they could get for either guy? What teams really need pgs... Knicks, Utah, Spurs (move Parker to the bench?),

PG is the deepest position in the league. Tough spot to be in.
Utah seems like they'd benefit the most from an upgrade there.

By Moris Go To PostKnicks have so few assets, if they land Teague in a 3 team trade they probably don't give up much. That would be amazing.
By Moris Go To PostKnicks have so few assets, if they land Teague in a 3 team trade they probably don't give up much.I don't understand your logic. Since they have so few assets, why would they pull it off by giving little?
I'd be ecstatic with Schroder. But it's not gonna happen, they probably don't rate him much higher than Galloway (but they should).
By Moris Go To PostNY can trade their 2017 1st now right?Oh god, they better not do that for peanuts, there's no sign that they'll make the playoffs before then. That said, for Schroder, I would trade that pick. Not for Teague.

IDK you don't hear about the knick trades that happen before they happen. If its happening it would involve a first going to Atlanta. Then again if it doesn't happen it would probably be due to Phil refusing to send a first to Atlanta.
Regardless of how you feel about them as assets the salaries work. There are a lot of scenarios that could be made into a package around AA, Calderon, O'quinn, Seraphin, D-Will, and Lance that work in a trade for Teague. At this point I could see the biggest issue being 1st round picks. Phil doesn't give those up easily.
I would love Schroder, but I doubt Fisher would.
"Knicks have spoken to the Hawks about a trade that would land them PG Jeff Teague, per @IanBegley"
What can we offer them? Will the Hawks want Grant and maybe two of our bigs? Grant + Calderon?

For Teague there are a lot of scenarios. Plus semi expirings consider D-Will (definitely) and AA (maybe) are likely to opt out.

They could do a swap (ala the Nyets) but no they can only straight trade the 2018 one.

Schroder makes peanuts. Jesus. And Teague makes Calderon money. I would HATE Atlanta if I were them.
Phil's been pretty damn solid at evaluating talent so far, but he's lost a couple trades in the short term. If he can trade them Hardaway for Grant and then Grant for Schroder, holy shit that would be awesome.
Also, Afflalo's comments last night are encouraging, I'm wondering if it's just talk or he's about to go on a tear.

Guys, Windhorst is telling us to stop being unfair to Lebron, eventhough he also said he flat out lied about his most recent comments:
WINDHORST: JAMES HAS UNDERMINED COACHEShttp://es.pn/1QDFJvM
Brian Windhorst says it's unfair to label LeBron James as a coach killer, but the Cavaliers star has undermined coaches in the past.
Idea I heard: have coaches vote the 12 players for the all star game and then have the fans vote the starters from those 12. What do you guys think?
Honestly I'd prefer it have some stakes like other ones, maybe the winning conference gets HFA in the Finals. Then despite whomever is chosen you see an actual game rather than whatever the hell it's been so far.
I think coach killer is kind of a worthless thing to call somebody. Coaches lose their jobs for any number of reasons. The bigger issue is when somebody is trying to exert too much control behind the scenes in ways that hurt their team. LeBron's been guilty of this even if he didn't explicitly request for Blatt's dismissal. Kobe's also been guilty of this with many of the Lakers' coaching decisions being made to appease him.
that'd be dumb.
It's always been an exhibition for the fans to see some cool dunks and no defense. players need the week off mid season in trying to help heal some nagging injuries. the last they want to do is go and play hard and risk injury.

By PSYCH! Go To Postthat'd be dumb.Play hard and risk injury is a possibility in any game honestly, I don't get this. Move it a bit back if it's that big of a threat.

What are the chances the Rockets keep the score within 10? No Duncan and the post GSW beatdown should be in effect for San Antonio.

It’s worth noting that Teague is under contract through 2016-17 and is scheduled to make $8 million next season. So bringing Teague on would impact New York’s cap space for the 2016 offseason. But having Teague under contract may be more prudent then chasing one of the top point guards on the market – such as Mike Conley or Rajon Rondo – and coming up empty.Teague would hurt 2016 FA market and Knicks probably need a 3-teamer to pull it off. I'd still roll with Lawson though, Rockets actually want to get rid of him as opposed to Atlanta's PG dangling.
Two players who could draw interest as trade chips: Arron Afflalo and Derrick Williams. Obtaining Williams or Afflalo would present an interesting prospect for Atlanta. Both players have a player option for 2016-17, so if the Hawks believe that Afflalo and Williams will opt out, trading for them would essentially be trading for an expiring contract. Expiring deals are valuable for teams looking to rebuild through free agency.

Yeah, of course you'd call me out for being biased, frogs just love Germans, that's well documented throughout history.
Also, good job quoting some article which suggests that Atlanta would deal Teague for half-expirers.
