LeBron and co never wanted him in the first place as he was hired before LBJ returned to Cleveland. So they were stuck and never really had a perfect opportunity to "justly" fire Blatt.
They can't really justify it now either. It looks real petty and dumb considering how well the Cavs are doing now. Time will tell I guess but I don't see the season going too well from here on out. And throwing all that money on another guy with no NBA coaching experience, wut. Fall guy much.
