Super jealous. Kauai was fucking amazing. Not sure the type of trip you're going on (romantic, family, work etc.), but if you can, do the dinner cruise that runs the Na Pali coast line. The food wasn't good, but it's one of the only ways to see the coast and was easily worth every penny.

i was told to check it out a few times by ppl like i was a tourist or something. i chill there and hoop with the gawds.... but for food i take my ass right down the road to waikiki, honolulu. i don't even think the food out here is THAT good anymore. just the bars, local kalua food trucks, and all the sights of course
We're staying right on the beach at Waikiki, stayed at the Holiday Inn last time. There was some awesome Japanese place above the Cheesecake factory we found as well. I know people complained about the food prices but compared to Sydney it's pretty decent.

I have been to hawaii once when I was younger but I do not remember much. I know when me and my girlfriend went to florida for disneyworld and on vacation recommendation we enjoyed some of it but the weather and humidity ruined our experience. I don't think I would go to that place again maybe in the winter but there are other places to visit and see... I'd assume it is better in hawaii, I am just not really a tropical weather kind of person. I would like to visit hawaii again.

hawaii humidity isn't anywhere near as bad as the southeast US. Florida around certain times of the year is downright hellish
