"Daniel Sturridge will not be available for Liverpool's League Cup semi-final first leg at Stoke after suffering a minor setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury in training."
That's surprising.
That's surprising.
Hiring Rafa in the first place was deranged, they literally looked at the list of CL winning managers and went for the only half-decent one they hadn't already fired. Nothing about Benitez style of management suggested he would be able to control the dressing room or compete on the pitch with Barcelona.
Zizou will probably do a Di Matteo and win the CL before being sacked.

By Punished Go To PostGoing to be sad when Zidane is sacked.

At least he made it to 2016 amirite? We probably all predicted he wouldn't so I guess in a sense Benitez won.
Imagine tho, having Florentino in charge of your club. How do you keep going? How do you not wake up one day and say "fuck it" and end it all. And he'll be there till he dies too. Even Madrid cunts don't deserve that. They totally do.

Pele terrible scout confirmed
Barca and Madrid fans are the worst.
How the fuck cares what club the guy who made the thread support?
It drags everyone into the muck

Think that's Rafa done at the top-level
Essentially sacked from 4 of his last 5 jobs, and was never going to last long in the other.
While Madrid was his dream job, it couldn't have been a worse fit for him given the way their players react when they're dropped, or their egos aren't massaged 24/7. And to be honest, they are simply too big a club for him. The game has passed him by.
Of his last 5 jobs, only one group of fans still like him, and even then he had a bunch of knobends who wanted him out every season no matter what.
Assume the players will escape all lasting blame.

I said he was playing well here. He is one of the best playing here atm, and the best brazillians playing here go to China nowadays.
Only the ones with world class potential go to europe atm.
The same Jorge Nicola said he was going to Tottenham a couple of months ago
By the hateful n8 Go To PostFeel a bit sorry for Rafa tbh. Job at the club he loves and getting sacked.
Not only that but the press, fans and players all gave him shit from day 1. And this happens while they're 4 points off from the top. Fucking hell.

Everyone is always going to Tottenham but they never actually do.
I can't believe we're going to dump this on Zidane.. Unbelievably sad at Zidane having to take over this mess, I wish there was a way he can say "NO" to the job, but in what reality would anyone ever day that?
The problem is not Rafa, the problem is Perez cuffing the hands of coaches we bring in to play a certain style or players.

Yep. This is exactly what the worst part is. Nobody can ever satisfy the people who support this club or the players who play for it.
Kind of surprised they wouldn't let Rafa see out the rest of the year. They're four points out with four teams within five points of first. Not sure what they expect to change under Zidane. It will be interesting to see how quickly the players, supporters and board turn on him though when things go south.

By firing the coach Perez is telling the world that it was not his fault, but the coaches.
it's a disgusting tactic and I hate the old man for it, he'll do the same with Zidane.
Splatt,
Bunk weather in Belgrade today and yesterday. Not sure if we can meet up. I stopped by Partizan's stadium today and bought a winter hat, so there's that.

How will Zidane recover from being sacked (Perez will do it) from the club he supports so early into his coaching career? Very unfair of the club to put him on the spotlight.

The problem is not that we're 4 points off the top. We started the season excellently. Since the Sevilla game it has been a downhill. We've played like shit in every big game. PSG, Villareal, Sevilla, Barca, Atletico, Valencia. Plus ticket sales are at all time low because of his unattractive. Bullying the small teams is good but we crumble in every big game.
Don't Barca have 2 games in hand?
While it seems harsh, managers know that this is the situation at Madrid. You start to fall behind, players and fans give up, you're out on your arse. Plus you're not building a team, you're having it built around you by someone who has no appreciation for just how good Barca are, and how long it will take to tweak the team with ups and downs to get onto their level.

Whats a harder job at the moment, Man Utd or Real Madrid?
Real Madrid are obviously in a much better league position but you have Perez.
Manchester United need world class additions with not enough world class player and Ed Woodward.
I choose stoke.

Shit..
This is kinda shitty to be honest, while I do not have much love for Rafa's tactics and he certainly played a role in this debacle but he is a true Madridista through and through, and was set up to fail from the start. It should not be a joyous occasion when one of our own gets used and thrown out like this.
It's so damn crappy that we do this to our own.. Zidane is going to get the exact same treatment, he's being set-up to fail.

By Kidjr Go To PostWhats a harder job at the moment, Man Utd or Real Madrid?I would say Real Madrid solely due to expectations. Perez has set-up the club to always win, if you don't you're out! Coaches don't get to keep their job even when they do win titles. It's really beyond me as to why we have this policy, it's not good for anyone.
By Frustrated_me Go To PostYou can't possibly believe this is all Rafa's fault though? No. It's Perez. No way a Rafa team would have a midfield without a proper DM. He is forced by Perez and the fans to play the galacticos and the result is a horribly unbalanced midfield. A Rafa would usually consist of two DMs. Plus Ramos and Pepe have been utter shit this season.

Having said what you said above, do you think Rafa did an OK job having his hands tied? I think so tbh. The players this year have truly been worse than last year, all of them have.

You have to keep pace with one of the greatest teams that's ever existed, with a group of egomaniacs in your squad, and a fanbase who will turn against you at the drop of a point. They have similar grinta problems to us among the players, and far worse among the fans.
At Man Utd right now, the bare minimum is being in the top 4 surrounded by some pretty average teams, with a tonne of money to spend on players you actually want. They want decent football as well of course, but most managers aren't as philosophically dull as LvG is.
I think there's a lot of shite at Man Utd that should be moved on, but the manager has the power to do so,
By Frustrated_me Go To PostAgreed.Players have been shit but hard to tell if they are shit because of the tactics or just turning to shit. Bale and Benzema are the only two improved players from the last season. The rest all have been quite worse.

I'm tired of Ronaldo's flat game, he's clearly not who he is anymore. If we can get 60 mil we should definitely let him go.
Then get some good competition for Ramos and start Varane. Bring a new LB to help Marcelo and a new RB.

Gaya, Laporte. But they are too good to not be starters.
