Eh, Ramsey has legs for days and is probably a better player.
By Slizz Go To PostThe Spy Who Came in from the Cold sounds great. Probably gonna pick that up this week.
Great book. I recommend keeping around a glossary of John Le Carré's spy lingo. If you've not read any of his books before the jargon can be confusing. There's no way you'd know what the hell he's talking about half the time.
Here's one for ya

By Yaya Scabrogo Go To PostCan was absolutely frightening in the U-17 world cup in 2011. He really looked like he would be the next big thing.I remember that.
He's doing quite well for a 20 year old CM in the Premier League. We lost yesterday but he was our best player comfortably and has been a really good partner to Henderson when Hendo was around.
We shouldn't, and won't be giving up on him.

Quite like the music of protest the hero, but not so much the vocals. But to be honest, the vocals of calculating infinity is also what I like the least, Dimitri ledt after that album anyway and the replacement is superior both in vocal rage and stage presence. Both protest and TDEP got a lot of mathcore elements, which turns me on greatly.... But yeah the vocals are just a bit too soft body for me, so I go in the TDEP/Converge direction.

But i like my prog/mathy stuff to have more of a melodic slant to it which is why i could never really get into dillinger.
but yeah the instrumental work is fantastic. same with stuff like Periphery which i assume you probably dont love the vocals of either lol. but im much more a fan of mixed vocals than just growling/screaming dominated stuff.

Hard as I tried, I could never get into death / growling metal. Periphery's mix of growling / melodic is about as far as I'm willing to go. And when the mix is just right, I actually enjoy the growling parts as well, provided the instrumental part is up to snuff.

I like Periphery's vocals quite a bit more actually, just like his voice more I think. Not against cleaner singing at all, just... Not protest the hero's clean singing I think haha. Haven't listened to Juggernaut at all yet, should do that soon.
Dillinger have done a lot more melodic stuff over the years, much to some #tr00metalfans disappointment, it's really only the first album that is purely screaming. Unretrofied, paranoisa shields, one of the us is the killer, Black bubblegum and so on is great and a lot more melodic. Some of it even borderline pop like unretrofied, they're also quite slow songs though. Favorite is when the harsher vocals is mixed in and borders on the clean singing constantly though, like milk lizard and setting fire to sleeping giants.

Growling can fuck off. Not much for it at all, just sounds dumb.

Fair enough, I was thinking about his career trajectory from when he transferred to Liverpool until now. He was 20 when we bought him.

I'm in the camp of full clean vocals or full dirty. If i'm going to listen to 'extreme' music....I want it to be all the way. There are some exceptions (motW, Cynic) and i dont mind maybe one or two songs an album doing the mixed shit but yeah. That doesn't mean i'm into the parody-level breakdown brutal death material but.... It's just another instrument to me. I used to hate the vocals, but somewhere I just stopped caring and then before you know it, you love it, like pickles.

i skimmed through juggernaut and didn't really like it. i feel like periphery are getting to a point where theyre settled in to their formula and everything sounded real samey to me. but maybe its because i just skimmed it.
and yeah i like that dillinger stuff better, but its still not really my cup of tea, not sure why. its almost marilyn manson esque with like punk. but i like the more popish sounds as well. im a big fan of fall of troy and dance gavin dance which are pretty pop leaning.

evolutionary sleeper is so fun to play on the guitar. im not into that psyrens at all though, ive never really been into full on dirty. i also think of it more like a texture to a song than anything, but i like it when its used sparingly to really add another dimension to songs.

Joe Allen's a bigger goal threat than Benteke
How did we get here
"It was not enough from my team and I’m really angry because we could have got more because everybody could see in the moments we play football what could happen,” said Klopp. “We have to again accept that we didn’t play like we should. Who wants to see 90%? You can’t win a game with 90%. You need more than we did today. Two-nil? It’s deserved.”

Couldn't handle Periphery. The melodic stuff is a complete turn-off. So fucking child-like and milky.

It's the Rooney situation except the media doesn't protect him. His movement, work rate, and first touch are all abysmal and he has spurned 8 out of the last 10 golden chances he had, most of them going way off target. The difference with Rooney is probably that Benteke is too young to claim that he's peaked already and is on the way down.
I think he clearly has the quality. There's a good player in there, but fans aren't known to be patient, especially when it feels like every season is do or die.
We played like total shit and have done multiple times in recent weeks. I mean really truly abject stuff—we don't look like scoring goals and fall victim to the type of direct football that Championship teams have week in week out for breakfast lunch and dinner. So fans are getting angry at underperforming players because we can't possibly blame the manager at this point.
That's the situation. It's sheer misery at the moment but I think the cure is time and patience.
