By L1NETT Go To PostNoal read Mitchell's other books
Bone Clocks and Black Swan Green especially
currently going through The Book of Night Women (Marlon James) which is really summat. Mitchell's latest is a tad pish, had to put it down for now.
could send you my copy of zerozerozero, done with that.
Just started reading Black Swan Green.
Wasn't a fan of The Bone Clocks, specifically the spiritual fiction. All that anchorites of the chapel of the blind cathar of the monastary of the mountain pass stuff
I hope Leicester can get their heads on straight and start scorning again. They're going to need goals in their up coming games. Tough January/February for them before a bit of a layoff in March.

ah i love all of his cosmic stupidity. something wonderfully indulgent how his books are a mental patchwork where characters appear and reappear (watch out for hugo in bsg). stuff like part five (i think?)'s endless metaphysical fantastical gobbyledook is why i love his 6 stranded affairs like Cloud Atlas so much and Jacob de Zoet slightly less
fuck yer marvel wank though, mitchell's bizarre cinematic universe is the best
can't wait for The Bone Clocks netflix series
also wilbur were you part of the protests at charlton
if not get your self down looks a right hoot

This is Arsenal's and Napoli's year. After every Juve's lost CL final football resets itself and strange things happen.
This is it.

don't you lie to me, zabo.
Just saw Aston Villa - Sunderland highlights. It's quite amazing, just how useless Aston Villa are. It's not just being bad, they do not even look bothered about it.
By bud Go To Postdon't you lie to me, zabo.I felt the disturbance in the force, brotherman bud. It's happening.
Genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed The Big Short. So much better than I was expecting. First Bale performance I've enjoyed in years.
Is it out here? Or have you been naughty?
I've missed so much at the cinema recently. Steve Jobs, Black Mass, The Good Dinosaur, Carol, Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, Straight Outta Compton...
netflix pls

No just got it on a Linux distro. Really recommend it. Had no idea that Adam McKay had such a good movie in him. Carell was also fantastic.

By noal Go To PostThe film?yes daddy noel!
By bud Go To Postdon't you lie to me, zabo.Oh, he's not. The Juve reset button is well documented I'm afraid, it's a vicious flat cycle, and we're the bearers of the curse.
in the age of ancients (<1990s) football was unformed, shrouded by fog. A land of gray crags, archtrees and everlasting mafioso owners. But then there was oil clubs and with oil clubs came disparity. Heat and cold, life and death, and of course, light and dark. Then from the abyss of the middle-east they came, and found the English Premier League within the flame. Kermit, the First of the Perma-Dead, The Witch of Texas and his Daughters of Chaos, Mangoverboard, the Lord of Dublin, and his faithful knights. And the Furtive Pygmy, DC89, so easily forgotten.
With the strength of Lords, they challenged the top four, Kermit's mighty banter bolts peeled apart their stone scales. The Witches weaved great firestorms. Mangoverboard unleashed a miasma of death and disease. And DC89 the Scaleless betrayed his own English bros, and then the top 4 were no more.
Thus began the Age of oil clubs. But soon the oil will run dry and only economical degrees will remain. Even now there are only embers, and man sees not light, but only endless nights. And amongst the living are seen, carriers of the accursed zebra sign
Yes, indeed. The Zebra brands Juventus and its player. And in this land, the zebras are corralled and led to the north, where they are locked away, to await the end of the world... this is their fate. This is my fate
Only, in the ancient legends it is stated, that one day a French man shall be chosen to leave this football asylum, in pilgrimage, to the land of ancient lords...in a quest to save what we have all given up on
football
We've long accepted our fate, the bearers of the reset button, please accept yours and wear this GOLDEN medal.
By the hateful n8 Go To PostIs it out here? Or have you been naughty?Black Mass was really bad, except for Joel Edgerton, avoid at all costs. Steve Jobs was, I dunno, I loved the gimmick of the movie but not so much the movie itself?

The former will be on Netlix this month, no?
I only hear good things about Bridge of Spies! Well excited to watch that soon
By the hateful n8 Go To PostI'm being serious, Step Brothers is hilarious
Also a big fan of Step Brothers, and that one with Mark Wahlberg as well.
By Fintan Go To PostTalladega Nights is one of my favourite modern comedies.Mine too but to this day I can't explain why
and maybe I dont need to
He was sensational today. Still think he'll be our #9 in the future, but for now let him do what he wants on the left wing.
For Yurt.
Sixsmith. I climb the steps of the Scott Monument every morning and all becomes clear. Wish I could make you see this brightness. Don't worry, all is well. All is so perfectly, damnably well. I understand now that boundaries between noise and sound are conventions. All boundaries are conventions, waiting to be transcended. One may transcend any convention if only one can first conceive of doing so. Moments like this, I can feel your heart beating as clearly as I feel my own, and I know that separation is an illusion. My life extends far beyond the limitations of me.

Played to perfection. I loved that part of the film. It gave it so much more soul.
'A half-finished book is, after all, a half finished love affair'.
Good night everyone.
By KidA Seven Go To PostI'm going to watch Carol. Someone described it as very Wong Kar Wai-ish.
I can see that. I enjoyed it quite a bit but I saw someone describe it as feeling very distant which I agree with.
By noal Go To PostI read all sorts so I'm not really tied to any one genre. I'll try and give you a hint as to my tastes.
This is just what I can see on my top three shelves.
You are my instant favourite due to the Rik Mayall autobiography (one of the most crazy books you could ever read).
Just been linked to a post on RAWK saying Can and Sakho would waltz into the Spurs team, Coutinho too...
By Hitch Go To PostI've never seen what other Liverpool fans see in CanBet you didn't ;)
Firminho is good though. Needs some time to settle and find consistency.
By Hitch Go To PostI've never seen what other Liverpool fans see in CanThe hair. He has very good hair.
I think every club has that player though, the one the fans believe in but nobody in the rest of football really understands.
Can is a 5/10 player. Always. Never good. Never bad. The shit David Alaba. Jack of all trades, master of none.
Just watched Blue Ruin. Great first half, middling second. Lost me when his mate shot that Cleland lad in the face. The ending didn't work for me at all.
edit: just read this, sums up how i feel - http://www.timeout.com/london/film/blue-ruin

Nedved said that if he had to pick one player from Germany's U21, it would be Can.
The golden god is never wrong. Can will come good.

Eh, Ramsey has legs for days and is probably a better player.
Can was absolutely frightening in the U-17 world cup in 2011. He really looked like he would be the next big thing.
