I mean, you go cold turky on one thing at a time. And institute life changes one by one.
Eliminate all sugar? Sure. Don't eat the sweets and drop softdrink. There's going to be withdrawal though. You're going to get headaches etc. So make it a one week thing. Which is what you're dealing with.
Next week, drop caffeine if thats an issue for you.
The next week, drop all fast food. only eat the stuff you make.
Then try and drastically lower the amount of carbs you eat, portion your protein, and replace the volume with veggies.
Then look at eating proper sized meals and not american sized meals.
It's a gradual life change that coupled with exercise sets you up for life. Going ham on 6 fronts at once is destined for failure. Because each thing you're dropping has a withdrawal process. And your body is going to take time to adjust / change.
But at each step you can keep at the exercise.
Either way though, best of lucky. Hope it works for you.
