Upper middle class Americans and young Americans don't care for democracy much anymore.

......So Millennials really just want military dictatorships or something? This is weird.
i think we're actually becoming more open to socialism tbh
those things can coexist but i think people in the poll are moreso confused

I don't know if the rising want for military dictatorships or rich people complaining about democracy is linked to socialism though.

Let be real though. That last graph is the most direct way of wording "fuck democracy" and it's high is 16% but the numbers on both the X and Y are made in such a way to really exaggerate that 8%-9% rise. The third graph cuts off at 1980. The 2nd graph is a more vague wording. We know millennials were upset upset that much of what Obama ran on was blocked in congress. This can currently be seen with the Bernie stans thinking this one man is going to rush in a new socialist order. How disillusioned would they be once he ran into congress. So it feels like part of the above is explained simply by young people not understanding the nature of how slow change is in a democracy designed like ours. The first graph is also kinda vague but makes more sense. Rich people don't want their vote outnumbered by the poor
There's a lot of young people but Boomers still get out the vote, and they're the old entitled generation they thought their parents were.
The graphs are weird in that it think the questions are a little too simplistic, but they do paint a picture of an electorate that is increasingly disenfranchised with its government and the systems that are in place.
Which should scare those at the top.
I think it's more a stab at the capitalised version of democracy america runs.

Dammit, Armenia!
Well, to be fair, Armenia is run entirely by the Mafia. So I guess they think anything is better than that?
On another note, The majority of Americans and almost the majority of Democrats supporting Trump's Muslim ban is the worst thing I've seen in a long time. His jump in the polls every time he says something outrageous tells me he's probably a) polling this stuff before he says it, and because he's the only one asking these questions, he gets out ahead of the rest of the political world by finding out people support it before anyone else does.
More than anything, recent polls have told me that pollsters have no clue what they're doing. Instead of asking the same boring and mundane questions, they really should be asking these off the wall insane ones so we can see what percentage of our population is actually batshit crazy.

Public Policy Polling asks batshit questions every month. This month, they asked about bombing Agrabah (30/13 Republicans said yes compared to 19/36 Democrats), and whether or not Paul Ryan's beard indicated that he has converted to Islam (a common conspiracy theory on the far right that thinks Ryan is a RINO). They also ask if Islam should be illegal and questions like that.
