By Sharp Go To PostThe Nuggets firing Karl in 2013 is underrated.
True. However, that team wasn't going any further than it had gone. No stars and no roster to get through all the playoffs. Brian Shaw was a bad hire to replace him and trying to change the system without changing the roster was a mistake. Could have kept Karl and kept winning for a few more seasons, even if there was no playoff success.
By PSYCH! Go To Postwow that 2004 draft top 5 was badNone of those guys was a bad player. That draft was pretty great, really.
By PSYCH! Go To Postoh shit rubio might score 10 points tonight, maybe on over 30% shooting.so close! 9 points on 3-11 shooting, 8 assists and 5 turnovers!
Good thing he played great defense, held reggie Jackson to 19 points and 9 assists on 8-14 shooting!
By PSYCH! Go To Postso close! 9 points on 3-11 shooting, 8 assists and 5 turnovers!Dray was 4/15 with 11 points and 4 assists yesterday. Zaza had 14 points on 5/8 shooting and 15 rebounds and the entire team was on fire from three. I guess we should throw away the rest of his career too based on that one game.

Fucking hell he's about to get another triple double. It still astounds me how he manages to put up near triple doubles nightly while playing elite D. Also hmm maybe I should tune in though I did just start reading The Forever War.

By DY_nasty Go To Postrubio's career ain't even goodI never said he was a superstar. But the hate on him is tiresome. He leads the league in steal rate and has for three of the last four years, has averaged 1.2 DBPM for his career, and has been first or second in point guard DRPM for the last three years. And he's a great passer as well (statistically and by the eye test) despite the roster around him. 80% FT shooter too. Yeah, he sucks at shooting, but he's still a good player because he does basically everything else well... if he were good at shooting he'd be CP3 level.

Ben Gordon was upsettingly bad after he got paid.
But yeah, fine year overall.

He's not Rondo bad as a shooter, but he's around that area - and because his shooting is that poor, it forces the rest of the team to mold around the fact. A shooter at his position gets Wiggins and KAT more space to work. His defense doesn't make up up for the fact that he's hardly worth the trouble on offense. If he were on a team loaded with shooters, sure.
You can't have people doubling/cheating off of the guy with the ball...

By PSYCH! Go To Postsooooooo spanish rondo?ugh yea
By PSYCH! Go To Postsooooooo spanish rondo? He's not THAT bad. But at least Andre Miller had a post game
I mean, Rondo generally makes good things become bad.
Rubio just doesn't actually add anything at all outside of defense.

By DY_nasty Go To PostIf you're not a top 15 PG or trending upwards, you should be traded imoRubio is definitely a top 15 PG this year. That position is deep, but not *that* deep. And the Wolves are much better situated with him now offensively than they were in the past... Lavine and KAT are both shooting threats.

By PSYCH! Go To Postsooooooo spanish rondo?Rondo is the definition of empty stats. Rubio is like the opposite of that, the only similarity is that neither of them can shoot.
