By knux-future Go To Postso about Okafor…..Randbull has been hitting 3s.
he can't come back right? Noel has a soul again and we aren't getting sent to the deadzone every game. Ish has been a big part in that but Noel in the paint has helped too.
im just putting that out there.

DeMarcus Cousins to ref after 3 Kings fouls in 21 seconds: "You want them to score that bad?"LOL

terrifying from a defender standpoint tbh
By Trey Go To Post29-1 is so hideous. Nba schedulers the real villains this season. The Warriors should have just had a bye for the entire season?
So what are the Nuggets going to do with having three good, young, European centers? Definitely a good problem, but Jokic and Nurkic aren't going to be able to play together.
By Sharp Go To PostThe Warriors should have just had a bye for the entire season?
No, they should be 30-0. Seven game road trip in what, 12 days? Ending on a b2b? That's cruel and unusual.

I dunno if it's hindsight, I think it's pretty cruel how much they make any of the teams do road trips AND b2bs and a couple b2bs with just a day break in between them. It's just much more noticeable with a team that was actively trying to keep a streak going.

via Lowe:
"Hornacek is a good coach. If the Suns fire him, he will draw interest in what figures to be a frothy head-coaching market this summer. Brooklyn, Sacramento, Washington, Phoenix, Memphis, Houston, Minnesota, Portland, and the Lakers all could have open jobs, and the pool of candidates will be loaded with big names: Jeff Van Gundy (quietly a candidate for the Washington job), Scott Brooks, Thibodeau, Monty Williams, and potentially Dave Joerger, Mike D'Antoni, Hornacek, Luke Walton, and others"
By Dark PhaZe Go To Posthttp://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14451352/the-suns-belief-competitive-building-future-taken-tollI can't tell by this reaction if you think JVG would be an upgrade over Randy Wittman lol
via Lowe:
Portland isn't getting rid of Stotts to replace him with Hornacek. That would be a bizarre swap. Stotts also getting the boot when the players love him and management knows the team isn't very good would be a terrible move as well.
Al-Farouq Aminu has taken more threes this season than he did in all three seasons in New Orleans combined. 3PT% up from 26.3% to 37.2%.Well I'll be damned.
So many competent coaches on the market, yet here the Knicks are, paying Fisher like he's one of the 10 best coaches in the league.
By reilo Go To PostWell I'll be damned.Aminu had a random stretch during his rookie year where he killed it from three, IIRC.

I knew you loved the Clippers. <3
By Sharp Go To PostAminu had a random stretch during his rookie year where he killed it from three, IIRC.He's 8 attempts shy of attempting more threes than he did all of his rookie year. I'll buy that it's him shooting above his level, but given that his coach was Monty during the New Orleans stint, I'm gonna guess that he was discouraged from taking threes, so it's kinda hard to extrapolate his development of it. New Orleans were ranked dead last in 3PA in 2012, bottom 7 in 2013, and second to last in 2014 in attempts.
If he finished league average three point shooting at 3.5-4 attempts per game, I think that would be wonderful from him.

By Gabyskra Go To PostSo many competent coaches on the market, yet here the Knicks are, paying Fisher like he's one of the 10 best coaches in the league.Well we need a coach that's willing to run the triangle (because reasons) so that kind of limits the field.

JVG is always rumored and never takes the job. Outside of him, what makes you think anyone else would be doing a better job than Derek is? the team plays hard, Melo's playing defense for the first time ever, and no one can shoot straight all year.
Besides which, 10,000 hours and all. No one is going to come in and learn the offense at the same level of mastery as someone like Fish that ran it for over a decade.
Malone/Gentry/Kidd/Karl/Snyder/Hornacek
Are all coaches that have gotten a lot of praise on this forum and all of them have similar or worse records than this Knicks team. Some are failing spectacularly.
