By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostSomeone on P&T said "If the Hawks cut Hardaway, can the Knicks sign him and then trade him to Atlanta for Schroder" - was pretty funny.
Knicks haven't lost more than 4 straight games all year and Reilo thinks they're about to go into a 13 game losing streak.
Be like 2-3 wins shy of your projected total at this point - Reilo trolls you. But in the same breath he thinks 13 straight losses is as likely with a straight face.
Yea man, I got your "might" and acknowledged you meant likely rather than certain.
By pilonv1 Go To PostYou can have your soul back when you beat us in a playoff series
This year.
By Sharp Go To PostThey've had some close losses during that stretch and their point differential isn't projected to be below -4. They're going to win some games they aren't favored in.Three of their losses were by an average of -8PPG and the other by -19PPG (@Hawks). That's an average of -10.75PPG in their last four. They are 23rd in ORtg. That's not a good team.
Say they beat Detroit but lose the next 5. Is going 1-9 a really good look?
kobe out here getting DOGGED by PJ Hairston
By pilonv1 Go To PostHoly shit CP3 just dunkedlance yelled "oh shit" lmao
By reilo Go To PostName me someone or something that the Knicks can get for Seraphin that actually makes sense from a playoff team looking to make a run.
come on man that is literally what i said in the first post that started this discussion.... The bottom of page 163 is where I said they would try to find a trade for youth because the price is too high to force a trade for a playoff run......
Its like you want to start this whole back and forth on Seraphin' s trade value from the start. He has trade value for youth due to his contract matching theirs and teams can always use some big man depth.

Dude I showed you a 10 game stretch early on in which they ended up going like 5-5 and your response was "they could lose every game"
You're legit unabashed about your doom and gloom predictions regarding this team - and 13 straight losses as a possibility is a joke. You can't predict that about anyone other than Philky and LA at this point without someone rightly going "dude wtf - stop falling on your sword"

That's not a good team.I don't think anyone thinks the Knicks are a good team. But nine losses in a row being "likely" means you need an average probability of victory of like 7.5% per game ((1-x)^9 = 0.5)). The Knicks aren't *that* bad. In fact, the only game they're predicted that bad or worse in the next nine games is vs. San Antonio (6%) and that's because San Antonio is insane this year.
By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostDude I showed you a 10 game stretch early on in which they ended up going like 5-5 and your response was "they could lose every game"I never said 13 straight, the fuck. Why do you think I've only been talking about their next 6 opponents?

The Knicks aren't *that* bad.The Cavaliers made the Finals last year despite being a sub-.500 (19-20) team for almost the entire first half of the season. Like, there's worse predictions out there then the Knicks losing to a bunch of really good .500 clubs with a majority of them on the road to push their losing streak to bad levels.
By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostYea man, I got your "might" and acknowledged you meant likely rather than certain."Might" does not mean "likely".
That conversation is dumb as fuck. Knicks fans mentioning the secound round of the playoffs. Denying the team and the roster are just bad. Justifying horrendous deals. Pretending you can sell Seraphin when he's having a bad year. There's no point discussing with teens and worshippers.
Also, if 538 is projecting the Knicks to win 32 games, that puts them at a .360 club for the rest of the season, which is a bottom 5 team.

What? I said "lose next 9 games" and you said "they just might". 9+4 = 13.
FYI this started because you said the Knicks are going to win 20-25 and I said they'd have to lose the next 9 (and end up 14-27) and they would STILL be on pace for 28.
Dude keep falling on your sword. I'm watching this laker game.

But saying it's likely means you think the Knicks are worse than the 76ers (by expected W/L%, the Sixers should win like once every 7 games... they've had some clutch losses).

What a good team. I also said might, somebody else said likely.

They aren't tanking and they aren't the Nyets..... They won't be bottom 5
Knicks had to have Melo score 29 points on 26 shots AND have Porzingis and Afflalo shoot a combined 6-23 AND have their guards score a maximum of 4 points each AND give up 40% shooting from 3 to lose by single digits (with cushioning FT's thrown in)
Reilo thinks this is the new normal lol
Reilo thinks this is the new normal lol
Might does not express the same thing as "likely". How am I the one who points that out?
Why the fuck do people bother discussing whether or not the Knicks will make it to the 2nd round? Whether or not a 7&5 center is worth 13M? Whether or not it was a good thing to bring Calderon? Whether or not Grant is worth more than a Sixers 15th man? Whether or not going to Afflalo in the clutch over a red-hot Porzingis is smart?
All the answers should be obvious and not left for debate. That's the kind of shit that prevents the conversation from improving. Because, I'm sorry, but some people are just not rational, and that's my way of being diplomatic.

I really like Dlo's cutting without the basketball. He's allergic to the rim with the basketball but eager to cut to it without

By reilo Go To PostI didn't say they'd lose 9 straight, I said that the likelihood is highIt's not.
I don't really care about the discussion otherwise.

Welp..... yeah, but you got to offset that lack of talent with the hope of youth development.
By Adam Blade Go To PostI don't know why, but Prigs is my favorite new Clipper this year.
He, Luc and Wes are the only likeable people on the roster
"Normal" is a team averaging 97.7PPG and having a 23rd ranked offense being a bad team not named the Memphis Grizzlies. Even the Bulls under Thibodeau last season scored more PPG on a slower pace.

Dude Knicks will have 30 wins before April even starts
This stretch they're on now - until they play Brooklyn is their hardest stretch all year by a significant margin.

By Gabyskra Go To PostI don't know wtf they're saying. Hornets are on pace to win 45 games without MKG.True, MKG was worth about 5 wins last year... but Dy was still banking on a best case scenario with no injuries, which was everyone's entire point.
By Sharp Go To PostTrue, MKG was worth about 5 wins last year… but Dy was still banking on a best case scenario with no injuries, which was everyone's entire point.People who disagreed with us saying the Hornets would compete didn't say that they would get 45 wins without their best defender. They trolled DY like they were a 28 win team.
