By unknown Go To PostHe could before but never enough talent. This year he is up on rebounds and assist and slightly less on scoring.
I'll gladly defend his defense, rebounding, and passing this year.
But you still need him to take over in games where the team can't shoot straight. What's the point of giving a guy that much coin if he can't win you 8-10 games a year by himself when the team needs it.
Seems like an easy enough trap, pay a star just too fucking much and then you're unable to surround them with the proper talent necessary to facilitate a post season.

Thank you for believing ;_;
Kept calling Paul Pierce a dirty old man, encouraged Chris Paul to keep talking to refs, told Lance Stephenson he had a good game. Creative.
Utah Jazz fans talking trash to LA players...
... I mean, wat?
Cousins on pace for 40 in this game. Rudy, Marco and Ben not hitting shots though, and Kangz defense is kangs defense.

Kangz so frustrating. CJ lighting it up like I thought. Nobody denying him the spots on the floor he wants.

Language, tut tut.
I seriously hate watching DMC stand out by the three point line (not even at the corner!) while the rest of the team tries to run an offensive set.

By Adam Blade Go To PostSharp, do you watch the Wizards anymore? Not nearly as much as I used to... doesn't help that their games often start when I'm still at work.

never seen a team burn through assets and get nothing from it quite like phx.
Suns need to dump Chandler to somewhere for anything and tank hard(er). Maybe they can send him back to Dallas for JaVale

What's this crap about Mark Jackson hating on Curry and why are people humoring it beyond Mark Jackson being 95% salt and 5% bullshit.
Jason Jones @mr_jasonjones
Karl ended his presser with: "I'm done. I'm frustrated."
Reminds me of Doug Collins final press conference
The Jackson/Curry thing is overblown. He was making the point that emulating Curry means much more than just jacking up 30ft 3pters early in the clock. If people celebrate those asshole 3s he drains then youth will emulate the asshole 3s and not understand that ability is rare and the rest of the package is what will get you a NBA contract. He was comparing it to people emulating Jordan and the run of Jordan-wannabes that never had his full game. As a fan of a team constantly in the lottery, I am well acquainted with all the fuckball Jordan wannabes that came into the league with no defense or shooting stroke.

"Steph Curry's great," Jackson said. "Steph Curry is the MVP. He's a champion. Understand what I'm saying when I say this: To a degree, he's hurt the game. And what I mean by that is that I go into these high school gyms, I watch these kids and the first thing they do is they run to the 3-point line. You are not Steph Curry. Work on the other aspects of your game. People think that he's just a knockdown shooter. That's not why he's the MVP. He's a complete basketball player."
Straight up clown, they have to take him away from Dubs games
Mike Longabardi was considered one of the best assistant coaches in the league 14 months ago, this is pretty nuts.
Glad Earl Watson gets to be a coach now though.
Glad Earl Watson gets to be a coach now though.
He said he sees kids jack up threes in practice instead of working on fundamentals.
Not much different than kids jacking up fadeaways and jump from the FT line Trying to be Jordan.
He's right in that curry shoots up tons of asshole 3's that no one else in the league, let alone little kids, should be doing in games.

But it's much more likely that a kid can learn how to shoot and dribble like Steph than take the amount of gimmicks needed to look like LeBron or be able to move like Durant or YNB.
He's just bitter that this guy was unleashed after his stint and he looks (rightly) like a clown
Also would like to know how many high school gyms Jackson actually visits to see this. Would imagine it's around the same number of Hassan Whiteside assists

Would imagine it's around the same number of Hassan Whiteside assistsMark Jackson spends all his time outside the booth (when he's not volunteering for charity) watching high school basketball.
Even when the teams are out of contention.
To the point that it's kind of a sad obsession.
But he does it out of love for the game, damn it.
Portland has a better differential the 6th, 7th, and 8th seed in the West. West is on a downward spiral right now.

And the two teams (I feel) that have the talent to exploit the drop-off are playing well below their talent level: Kings and Pelicans.
By blackace Go To PostIt's not up to Curry to make sure the next wave of players learn the basics of basketball….Definitely not. It should also be explained Curry's ability to make all kinds of shots is because of his hardwork and technical ability, it doesn't work in reverse.
