I blocked the guy. If people wouldn't quote him, then highlight the parts where he's over the top insulting me, then ask for a response or post clapping gifs about how great his insults about me are, then yea - I have no problem not responding.
By reilo Go To PostBecause their marketing departments are run by older management that have no design aesthetic or visual eye.
except for the Hawks, and look how that turned out.

By 13MillionDollarMan Go To PostJerseys lookin worse every year, what an accomplishment.Dunno about that. Sixers and Bucks definitely upgraded.
Clippers are a massive downgrade though. They had a good look before and now they have one of the worst.
Edit: forgot about the Hawks. At least they tried something different but yeah they're pretty bad.
By reilo Go To PostI, for one, am happy that a jumpshooting big passed Shaq on the all-time scoring list.He had very similar TS%, too, iirc.
By reilo Go To PostBecause their marketing departments are run by older management that have no design aesthetic or visual eye.Or they just straight up don't let teams do what they want. The league denied the Pels from being black and gold like the Saints.
Milwaukee's new look is pretty great.
Really, though, we need Adidas gone. They've done only the worst things since they took over. Like sleeved jerseys. I don't care how well they sell. They look stupid, they usually have the worst designs, they're just the worst. I'll die on this hill.

Owners will still have the final say as to redesigns. And owners are nearly all old white men.
Nike is known to be keen on changing our look, but apparently they're still wedded to the stupid and ugly "OKC" shield design.

I've tried. I have no faith the guy won't stop. So if he keeps going, I'll just post this https://streamable.com/uott or something equivalent. No point in going back and forth in long debates with him. He's basically the August version of SAS at this point.

Kawhi Leonard, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant? Those are the three best players at the moment anyway.

By Moris Go To PostSixers gave up 2 future 2nd rounders for Ish. Very Un-Hinkie move.AKA the perfect Hinkie starters.
By rodeoclown Go To PostMilwaukee's new look is pretty great.I would have been ok with sleeved Mardi Gras jerseys just because that could be fun to wear outside of just Pels games. Unfortunately, they went with the tamest shit.

By @JonMHammRecap: Ish Smith traded by OKC to NO last trade deadline. Waived by NO. Signed by PHI. Played well for PHI. Not re-signed by PHI. And now… PHI is giving up assets to re-acquire a player they could have kept in the first place. Not that bad since it's only a couple of seconds, but still.

Because "Played well for Philly" is the last thing on earth Hinkie wanted going into this season. It really sucks for him because the process is being sabotaged to a certain extent. If they improve over time than Colangelo will get the credit. On the other hand, if they don't. All the Hinkie Stans can claim that the Process would have worked if only it wasn't meddled with.

Yeesh, that seems a bit unreasonable. Their loss.
@3SP: The problem with The Process is that it depended upon the lottery. Even the Sonics/Thunder never got a #1 pick but were fortunate enough to be #2 in the Oden/Durant draft and they used their other picks well on guys like Westbrook, Ibaka, Harden, Jackson, Adams, and Roberson.
At the same time they always kept vets around from the very beginning. Desmond Mason, Malik Rose, Nazr Mohammed, Fish, Perk, Butler, and especially Collison. That really helped the team culture persevere through KD's first two bad seasons.
Hinkie and Morey seem utterly unconcerned with personality, reputation, or overall team cohesiveness and we see where it's gotten them.

I agree with you completely. I've made those same points before and lord knows I dislike both of those guys' approaches to team building.
But upgrading the roster in any way shape or form is about as anti-process as you can get right now and giving up draft picks to do it is just salt on the wound. Hinkie is probably seething right now.

Blame/credit will be attributed everywhere and likely not in fair amounts like you're saying. Too many chefs in the kitchen before we could tell if the first chef was on to something or insane.
The first chef is a clown.

Hinkie's process is kind of like giving all of your savings, year after year, for a chance to shoot a half court shot to double your money. But you don't practice shooting half court shots.
If all you're going to do is mindlessly take the best available talent (even if 7 of them play the exact same position) by looking at the general consensus big board that everyone agrees on - than you're failing at your job.
Dude has found exactly ZERO hidden or not-so-hidden gems. None of his mid to late 1st round or 2nd round picks have yielded much of anything.

I'll stick to making points, just like I was doing before I was told what I wrote was "lulz" (which imo gave me a license to go for banter, from someone who wouldn't complain about it afterwards...).
Right now I feel like summarizing common feelings:
- Calderon is trash
- Lopez is disposable
- Afflalo should be benched
And I won't comment much but just say: these are litterally the pickings of the three biggest moves by the Knicks' staff (that and the other fantastic deal they got by turning Iman Shumpert into Lance Thomas).
But in defense of said staff, I hear the triangle is doing wonders in the Philippines, which is so relevant an example it might be the 20th best league in the world, no less. I should try to "understand" it more (I heard that advice from someone who told me about all those multiple Euroleague titles that David Blatt supposedly won in an alternate universe!).
