That's a lot of money, but he's a good player imo. Can't say 5-6m isn't a fair price, so 8 isn't much of a stretch for a PL club.

By Wedward Go To PostSounds like Elneny is done.At least we can rest Ramsey for some of the FA cup games. Balls deep for Lukaku in the summer. I almost think he'd break Suarez's record playing in front of Ozil.
We signed someone.
Will he start over Chambers?
Probably not.
By Wedward Go To PostLukaku is going to go for silly money.
Probably to United.
By Wedward Go To PostSounds like Elneny is done. This is why you still have Flamini, Arteta and Carzola playing. Jedward, pls. Think big. Lukaku to Arsenal, innit.

So we loaned Kravets to Stuttgart. Unexpected, but good move by Artem. He is now basically N3 striker in Dynamo and will not get enough practice, reducing his chances for EC16. Hopefully change of surrounding will help him to realize himself finally, he has so much potential, but something was always missing...
By inky Go To Post45m for LukakuI'd pay 45-48m. He's one of those players where it actually makes sense given his age and trajectory. I mean considering what was paid for Martial.
By Wedward Go To PostLukaku is going to go for silly money. Why would he go there though? They're going to be in transition for the next few years it seems. I mean even Di Maria was shit there....
Probably to United.
I still can't get out of my head that second Lukaku's goal.
It was pure class. Chest control, finishing, celebration.
He's ready to be a front man in any club of the world.
Everton will get a lot of money from him.
He's the best striker in the prem by far right now. Amazing player.

We've been in transition for 10 years.
He'll get more money there and they are the biggest club in England.
Lukaku will cost more than 50m.
Apparently we have an agreement for ... Mandragora. A promising 18yo midfielder.
Mandragora.
Worth it for the name alone.
PSG and City were/are also looking into him, allegedly.

He is 22 and very good. Plenty of teams could use him.

It was pretty obvious that Lukaku was going to be good, but I guess if you piss off Mou then all his cognitive reasoning falls to the wayside.

Don't want to jinx you, and my brother being a Gunner will hate me for openly saying this in front of him, but I'd be shocked if Arsenal don't win the league this year. The only real challenge is City. With Pep waiting in the wings I don't see how that squad can be focused to deliver. Congrats :P

Quite an unknown quantity - although I'm sure we've been scouting him for quite some time.
Elneny is gonna be Coquelin's cover and an upgrade on Flamini. So... decent.

Time for a 4-4-2 leds. Giggs bringing it back.
De Gea; Darmian, Jones, Smalling, Blind; Mata, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Young; Martial, Rooney
Then buy a CB, a winger and a striker.
Job done. We're winning the league.

Louis van Gaal tried almost everything while Manchester United were losing four games in a row for the first time in more than 50 years.
He even did something he didn’t really want to and dropped his captain, Wayne Rooney, from the team to play Stoke on Boxing Day.
The Dutchman used 18 different players in his starting XIs against Wolfsburg, Bournemouth, Norwich and Stoke but two things remained constant.
United lost all four and Morgan Schneiderlin didn’t start any of them. In fact, he didn’t play a single minute.
…
What is certain, though, is that United were better against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Monday night and kept a clean sheet for the first time since Schneiderlin’s last start, against West Ham on December 5.
…
Still, it falls into a wider pattern. United have lost seven times in all competitions this season but only once when Schneiderlin has started – against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium in August.
…
Schneiderlin has the highest pass completion rate of any United player and makes the most tackles per game. Only Marcos Rojo has intercepted more passes per game.
United have conceded 24 goals in all competitions but only nine in the games when Schneiderlin has been picked from the start. Of the 16 games he’s started, United have kept a clean sheet in 10.
He’s best when he plays next to Bastian Schweinsteiger. Of the 11 games they’ve been paired together in midfield United have conceded just five goals and kept seven clean sheets.
There is, though, a flip side. While United have only lost once when Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger have started – the 2-1 defeat at Swansea – they have only won three. Six have ended in 0-0 draws including the last three against PSV Eindhoven, West Ham and Chelsea.
Neither Schneiderlin or Schweinsteiger have been credited with an assist this season. Fernandinho, who does a similar job for Manchester City, has scored three goals and created two - but then the differing philosophies of Van Gaal and Manuel Pellegrini has played a part in that.
Schneiderlin’s reintroduction against Chelsea coincided with a more solid, organised performance. After a run of four straight defeats it was a welcome return.

Definitely the best chance we have had at it in a long time.
If we don't win it this year I don't think Wenger will do it again.
Disappointing we have dropped so many games we should be winning, but to be top going into the New Year after the injury crisis we have had, definitely can't complain too much.
If we can stay relatively healthy for the rest of the season I think we can do it. We have the best starting 11 in the league.
The Schneiderlin/Schweinsteiger/Herrera midfield is the way to go. Everyone's been wanting it for months.
You've been doing well with Alexis not in great league from too, which is really good. Once you have him back at 100% some matches will be easier as well.
Sometimes it's so fucking obvious that it is infuriating when LVG is still trying other dumb combinations.

I don't think we'd need all three in some games tbh. Schneiderlin and Herrera at home against the cunts of the world.
Plus, Basti needs a rest sometimes. No surprise he was as good as he's been in a while last night after his suspension.
