I will admit of being wrong
A Martinez team will never know what defending is
Go ahead and mock me because I deserve it.

By rvy Go To PostGraeme Souness or Steve McMahon? Its an extended piece I'm writing for Football365
I'll give you a teaser
'The Premier League, eh. What a pile of shite.'
That's about as far as I've gotten tbh
By Auto Go To Posti'm afraid of Mertesacker's declineDefinitely if Chambers is going to be playing DM too. Think we were being linked to a few Serie A defenders last window.
Long absolutely destroyed him
we might need a new defender
By Hitch Go To PostIs he really a #prospect?
I'm kinda desperate for a dynamic, fast DM
He just turned 22 a few days ago, but he is way above anyone else in the Danish league, and has been great every European match we've played as well. So it's kind of hard to know how high his ceiling is, but he is a fantastic DM and can also play CB, and both full back positions as well. On the national team he is used as a CB, and for the Swedish team he played on before Copenhagen he was also mostly a CB. He is incredible strong despite not looking like much of a tank, but he is both strong and fast.
The passing part is what he still got a little to go with, but he has also showed big improvement with that the last year, I guess it hasn't been all that important as he was mostly playing as CB before. But he is a fucking rock at DM, which also allows him to get into positions to score great long shot goals every now and then.
Also this in 4 minute stoppage time, from his time in Sweden (at cb), is sensational

I absolutely believe him to be the best player we've had in the club for a long long time.
Distressing that we were talking about a title challenge and now we're slapping ourselves on the back for showing that we have a pulse at home versus the 16th placed team in the league. Oh and hey Rooney had a long shot so motm.
We're now 6th and 5 points behind Spurs.
Honestly well done lads. Really great stuff. Sticking by our principles.

We we still have our Honour and ain't that sort of club or something....

By Pelbell Go To PostGabby should be a starter. Why hasn't he been starting ahead of Mert? Injury??
Should've been a long time ago.
Good win, especially after getting shamed on Saturday. Should have scored more but the amount of chances we created were encouraging. Walcott should not be sold but he had 4 or 5 chances he really should be finishing off easily.
Anyway #topoftheleague
Pls draw tomorrow Leicester and City, have a feeling City will win.

Because Mertesacker does have the experience edge. It has shown in games like the 2-0 against Bayern for example. Also, Per is still a better distributor than Gabby by a bit (even Guardiola mentioned how much we rely on his longer balls when we're compact). Arsenal's CB system requires one roaming player in the Kos role and someone who can stay back a little more and pass the ball. Gabby is a little more like Koscielny. Mertesacker is a bit more like Chambers...
By Ashwinho Go To PostAmartey could be really great for Liverpool..Lucas is bad in that position for themI don't think he's bad in general but he's a massive liability against physical midfields
And there are a lot of PL teams with physical midfields.
No PL team has taken fewer points than #MUFC over the last six games. They've played teams currently 2nd, 7th, 9th, 14th, 15th and 16th.
Relegation form and out of the CL. Plenty to be upbeat about. I mean we brought Borthwick-Jackson on.

Chelsea, Southampton, Bournmouth, Leicester, Barcelona and Manchester United all in a row is fucking brutal

Mertesacker will probably die on the pitch
Messi's movement is too fast for his slow brain to comprehend
He'll malfunction and then get sent to the hospital where he will die in peace
and then Chambers gets sent on
8-0

Overreacting a bit I think.
Feel like I'm balancing the under reaction to utter shite and the sinking without a trace. I can't watch this shit and go oh well at least we didn't lose 2-0 like that's something to be positive about.
I didn't think it was possible Oscar to play worse under Hiddink today than he did under Mourinho earlier in the season. Amazing
I feel bad for the Chelsea lads because I'm fucking furious at how shit we've become but they were somehow worse.

Disagree
Per's distribution is terrible
The rest i agree. But he's so fucking slow that i just cant have him on my full 11. It's hilarious how everyone wins against him on a run.
A defender cant be that slow.

We just aren't good enough. And we still outplayed Chelsea. Approach was fine today, just didn't have the quality. It could have been worse in other years, but the league is so entirely lacking in quality this year that I won't be writing us off entirely. Think if we get a win we'll go and get a few more. Shit is changing so quickly I can't allow myself to get so worked up about it all.

Leicester will be 5th at best.
