By Ricky Go To PostSadly I have no hype at all this year
Yesterday I saw one of my presents, goat one but I wish he didn't leave it in plain sight
Christmas day is crap, fuck the lunch with the family
Friends all have a gf/bf
Work closed for 10 days
I'll spend it playing videogames like every other goddamn day
On the contrary, I can't make plans for New Year's Eve because I'll be working up until 8pm and I still have nothing or nowhere to go.
Fucking hell if this quote doesn't make you wanna see this film
@davidehrlich: THE HATEFUL EIGHT is like The Thing took the form of an early John Ford movie & holy hell is it great. Sam L. Jackson = a national treasure.

In a point in the new Hitman movie, Agent 47 is trying to teach another person how to behave like an agent and asks that person what should they do in a situation of a room full of enemies.
...yeah, I think the people behind this trainwreck weren´t really paying much attention to the game they based their movie on.
Person : There are so many.
Agent 47: If I shoot one, the rest will converge. So what do we do,Katia?
Person: Avoid them.
Agent 47:No. Suppress your fear, face the threat.

I need to get to San Marino. I need to see la curva tamburelo.
By n8 Go To PostFucking hell if this quote doesn't make you wanna see this filmIt doesn´t. I think Tarantino was the most overrated director in the world but Christopher Nolan managed to take that spot.

Thing about Tarantino is that all his films look and feel like they take place in the same universe
not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing

There's a theory that they actually do.
Not a problem for me. No one complains that authors write in the same style every time, or everyone in His Girl Friday or a Woody Allen film sounds the same. That's his style. Is he versatile in that regard? No, but it's always fucking great.
For me, a Tarantino movie is an event.
Fucking love his movies, style, writing and everything.
i don't wanna talk about Death Proof

By Punished Go To PostPeople do complain about Woody Allen making the same shitty films for 30 years.
They don't complain that they sound the same, they complain that they're shit. When he makes a Midnight in Paris or Blue Jasmine (that still sounds like a Woody Allen movie) he gets praise because other elements come together as well.
Wes Anderson > the rest.
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Fantastic Mr. Fox (Favorite seasonal movie)
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

So much more excited for Hateful Eight than the Revenant.
Really don't like Iñárritu that much.
Leo isn't winning for this movie.

Still have to see those last two
Should I watch Fantastic Mr. Fox before Christmas?
By Ricky Go To PostShould I watch Fantastic Mr. Fox before Christmas?Absolutely, it's my go to Christmas movie.
The Revenant will be worth seeing for Lubezki alone. And I think this'll be Leo's legacy Oscar.
Tbh, Inarritu looks to be less self-indulgent than he usually is. Never made a film better than decent for me.

Just worried it's going to be 2.5 hours of torture porn.
Like, we get it.
Still seeing it obviously. Probably xmas day with my dad and brother.
Gaf:
"Bloated Oscar bait movies ain't my thing. Sorry Leo. I'll wait for Redbox."
Does anyone know the definition of Oscar bait? Seems to change every day.
