So eh, if Mourinho comes in that means we become even more entrenched with Mendes.

By DerZuhälter Go To PostI want to hear LFC-Slaents opinion on Klopp's 2015 adventure thus far.
Disappointed in him, the team, or are you actually seeing progress? Are the injuries the problem? Where are we at? Can't shake the feeling of disappointment.
It's up and down. 3-1 v Chelsea, 4-1 v City and 6-1 v Southampton are clearly amazing performances and amazing results. Feels like we got a glimpse of what can happen there, but at the moment it seems like a clear case of "new manager, same old players."
He's only been here what two months if that? He came in without a pre-season and has had barely any time to train the players. He and the players have said that barely anything has changed in training so far, he doesn't want to come and flip everything on its head and start from square one smack in the middle of the season. Tactics and team-building go hand in hand. He will need time to build his team, like any manager would.
LFMartins, sorry breh but Sporting could only scrape so many 1-0 wins. Smallest GD out of you, Porto and Benfica, by a good margin.
At some point that translates into the league table.
Merry Christmas!

Always a divisive talent, Francesco Totti has had his fair share of critics down the years but provokes such fierce loyalty in his supporters that some celebrate his birthday each September by wishing one another "Merry Christmas". So perhaps we should not be surprised to discover that, while many left him off their lists altogether, one of our panelists defiantly named him as the best player in the world. In truth, he is no longer a fixture of the Roma first XI, but he does remain the club captain and, even at 39, he still has a part to play.
Totti 96th, last time i work for the Guardian.
he is no longer a fixture in the first 11 because he has been injured for months, he would walk in ahead of Dzeko now
By Elchele Go To PostLol why would they sack LvG in the mid of the season while being on top4? Pls stop.Because now is the time to sack LVG and go for a competent manager like Pep and Mou. If he is not sacked now they both will find a job by the end of the season and we will be stuck with Giggs.
By batong Go To Post0-0 tonight, lots of injuries, Leicester run away with it.A draw would make me believe football is alive again. If that doesn't happen, let Arsenal win.
Since April United have won 14 out of 33 matches.
One of the reasons for LvG close to getting the chop.

There are screeners out there from H8 and The Revenant.
The internet will be a dark place till these two release here. Which is next year :(
By Lego Go To PostMourinho should have been made the manager of United directly after Ferguson.

So many different outlets have reported that Mou was waiting for a call from United that didn't come. I'm not sure why you are the only one that believes otherwise.
By Woodenpapangus Go To PostAre we still pretending that you didn't try this? And one of the few times Mourinho was gracious was when Real beat United at Old Trafford in 2013. He wanted that job.

Lots stating otherwise as well. Even the article from yesterday about Pellegrino coming to Chelsea, that people on here seem to really believe, says Mourinho originally turned down United.
But it's alright. You're getting him now. Getting those sloppy seconds. Chelsea will be getting the same as well with Pellegrino.

That's effectively Mourinho's side of the story
I don't think anyone really believes that's what happened

and we're just not going to believe Ferguson either?
“When we started the process of looking for my replacement, we established that several very desirable candidates were unavailable. It became apparent that Jose Mourinho had given his word to Roman Abramovich that he would return to Chelsea, and that Carlo Ancelotti would succeed him at Real Madrid."
Of course not. His body language clearly said he wanted the job during that match against United.

By sam777 Go To PostWe better sack LVG this week before the situation gets worse.Doubtful. United's timing is always off when it comes to hiring, firing, and signing.
By Woodenpapangus Go To PostTrust no one. Except the always trustful English journalists.
No smoke without fire, baby.
Anyway, still don't really want Mourinho. Especially considering one of the main reasons people want rid of van Gaal is boring football (forgetting what Froggie was capable of sometimes); why just pick another pragmatist? Who doesn't like young footballers? Who causes havoc and leaves disarray?
It's selling out everything we preach as a club. Disappointing.
Benitez did great for Chelsea when Di Matteo was fired and won them the europa league. I'm sure he'll accomplish the same with united.
