By Woodenpapangus Go To PostI fucking hate the story and the characters of XII so much. Yeah pretty much everyone is annoying in FFX and so on, but at least you remember them. in XII everything is just so forgettable. and I hate cat ears on humans enough to never use that one character.
But the game itself feels so nice to play, mindless at times with enough gambits unlocked, but I enjoy that in a way. Much like playing FM, that has also just become a relaxing thing for me to do while not being completely focused.
FF12 is basically a big budget offline korean mmo.

By Oddinho Go To PostTime to finally play FFX, the only numbered FF game I haven't played into the ground. Seems lately every time I think I'd like to play some game, it just happens to be on sale for half offOne of my greatest videogame disappointments was the moment in Final Fantasy X when, after discovering an item that prevented random encounters, I was finally free to roam and explore the environment without the hindrance of sudden battles breaking my immersion. Which was fantastic, until I realized that environments in Final Fantasy X essentially consisted of glorified linear corridors. Even the most open of fields or deserts, in fact, ultimately forced you down straight paths. There were secrets to find, but their distribution through the fictional map was hilarious and ill-conceived. Key items would often lay on the ground, in the most bizarre and arbitrary spots, with no signposting to speak of, which meant that trying to find them was an exercise in either Internet forum-crawling or Adventure game-style pixel hunting.
By Esch Go To PostFF12 is basically a big budget offline korean mmo.Why do you do this to me
You aren't wrong, there's very little interesting level design in FF games post-VII. I mean if you want to get philosophical about it most every game forces you down a certain path in one way or another, it's just some games make it more interesting on the way.
Wooden you can't even remember well enough that the furry character from XII was a rabbit not a cat. :P I think XII had a lot of intrigue, a cool world and the gambit system was exactly what I wish other JRPGs would do. The story sucked though and no amount of awesome translating could save that. And yeah the characters were all shit except one or two.

Oh yeah it was rabbit ears. I truly hate that stuff though, no matter the animal ears.Which also makes me sad to see in ni no kuni 2. It's just so damn off putting.

It's the ultimate just one more continue button press game for me. Ends up as my most played game every year. A bit complicated for new users, but over the last few years they have started offering some more streamlined modes.
But I do recommend playing and trying out the full thing with time, but maybe good to start in classical mode.

Tried getting into VI a couple of times, but always failed. Kind of wish it was that, not FFVII getting a full on remake. But seeing that getting remade, has gotten me into playing VII again as well. Been a loooong time since I've finished it, I've basically forgotten everything after Midgar it seems, except that one death.

By Felonious_Runk Go To PostAnyone here get down on Football Manager? The games aren't very different from one year to the next so you wouldn't be missing out on too much to be honest.

7th fucking place for Watford. My god.
Higuain is going to break the Serie A scoring record this season..16 goals in 17 games

Well, judging from the plethora of news report Jose's move to United might be coming in a week.
As much as I like Mourinho he really did mismanaged Chelsea's youth and I'm not sure if he's right for the job considering giving youngsters a chance is a big part of United's overall philosophy.

Leicester and Watford are great examples of teams playing well beyond expectations largely due to tactical setups that suit every player in the team, and get the best out of the star attackers.
When everyone behind them gets the basics right, with no square pegs in round holes, that is a massive platform to get results from.
We need to do likewise, but I don't think it'll happen without numerous departures and arrivals. When the other team doesn't play into our hands, we are both fragile and toothless.

I want to hear LFC-Slaents opinion on Klopp's 2015 adventure thus far.
Disappointed in him, the team, or are you actually seeing progress? Are the injuries the problem? Where are we at? Can't shake the feeling of disappointment.

Finally I don't have to avoid Star Wars spoilers any more. Thought this was the best or maybe the second best Star Wars movie, the acting was good, the action scenes great and I liked all the new characters.
Blatter and Platini both banned from all football for 8 years. We'll see if that means anything though.

Been underwhelming overall. 2 notably good performances (one of which turned on a goal massively against the run of play) but aside from that, we haven't been much different to what I'd have expected under Rodgers tbh
Tough to tell how much of that is down to Klopp, and how much is just the absolute shite state of the squad proving to be a hurdle that's impossible to overcome consistently.
In hindsight I'd have maybe preferred to scrape past City and Southampton, since those 2 matches got our hopes up, making this recent run of results feel even worse.
4th should be on this season, but I don't think it is now.
I've only just now learned that Kevin Bishop is not a character of Simon Brodkin's.
So that is Blatter dead and basically means Platini will never get an important position ever again.
Certainly glad that they're banned, but there needs to be much wider change and the chances of that happening are pretty damn low sadly.
Would be crazy if Mou replaced LVG this month. Surely the biggest ever change of midseason manager ever.
Sepp and Platini being thrown into the abyss is good news but i can't help feeling as though this will be treated as the end of corruption at FIFA when it's just the start

I think we're all excited to see him operate in the transfer market. Hopefully gone are the days when we spend £25m on Lallana or make Milner our top paid player.

Yeah. It's a shame. Blowing up at two clubs in fairly rapid succession shouldn't be the prelude to the United job.

Mourinho should have been made the manager of United directly after Ferguson. Instead they've spent 3 years being romantic and pretending they're better than any other modern day club.
I think he'd be a huge success if he ends up at Old Trafford. Just give him control and let him work.
I don't think a foreign manager without experience of the league, or winning the Champions League would work, because British players seem petulant and lacking in respect, United more than anything right now need a motivator over a tactician.

I actually agree with this. We spent the first year foolishly trying to recreate Ferguson like all you had to do was offer a young Scottish person a 6 year contract.
Then we lurched and went oh shit and brought in an old pair of hands that could steady the boat, but who should've (by his own admission) retired many years ago.
If we'd taken Mou in the beginning we'd have very likely endured 2 far better years than we just have. And maybe we would be in 'disarray' by now, but then we've arguably been in disarray for 2 and a half years straight anyways.
Blatter's ego is so inflated after years of being feted by equally corrupt individuals that he fails to realise he has done anything wrong. Mad as a bicycle.
