Wow lots of words below on what I originally just wanted to make like two lines.
It felt very loyal to the Coen brothers ethos and philosophy. Often times the cruelest fates are reserved for those caught in the middle, while genuinely good people tend to come out safely, and players like Hanzee are just too savvy to fall into any traps. Clearly he knew that sticking around for revenge was risking his life and he's not that stupid.
I loved his line there at the end with "That's the Message", in fact that whole dialog and his resolve. I think it's possible we'll see him in season 3 again.
Plus, Mike's ending 😱😱😱 executed so incredibly brilliantly.
And the Solverson family ending was pitch perfect too. They deserve to have time together. I loved how so much of what went wrong in Fargo was exactly what Frank talked about—just a lack of communication of refusal to communicate escalating to violence and hate. And then you have the Solverson family who are the only ones who really communicate with each other and you can see how genuine and comfortable they are. Just the fact that Lou got to say goodnight to Betsy was all the catharsis I needed.

I was so embarrased yesterday. I was in a big supermarket yesterday and on my way down to the food section I saw the toy section had a ton of Lego Star Wars, I got so excited and ran over trying to see if they had the Super Star Destroyer. I had such a big smile on my face and as I turned round I saw a new five year old student of mine smiling and jumping up and down at seeing me. She was with her mum and her mum had no idea who I was.
No idea what the mum must think of me, a grown man more excited at being in the toy section than her daughter.
That New Yorkers GOTY list is awesome I don't understand why anyone would complain though admittedly I didn't read the thread. It has Sunless Sea which I've heard is great, Downwell which is easily in my top 5 this year, Bloodborne and MGS5. It's a great list.
