By Willkiller Go To PostI wouldn't worry about Barca so far in advance, i'd be worrying about City on Monday
I can do both. Pretty easy.
It's not like we are discussing lineups. Just talking about general tactics. Not much is likely to change by then.
By Xpike Go To Postarsenal's entire squad may be injured by the time they face barcapls no
I think if we sit tight and defend like we did when we beat City 2-0 we'll do alright. Will Wenger do it again though?
Neil Custis in The Sun claims LvG is close to losing the dressing room but I'm not super convinced by the details. Also The Sun rarely ever has any well sourced pieces about us.
'tis fake.
By Esch Go To PostVan Gaal getting the Brendan plane treatment this weekend
'tis fake.
Ahahaha. União da Madeira managed to get a draw against Benfica. Benfica now sits 7 points behind Sporting.
By Wedward Go To PostI can do both. Pretty easy.I'll remember this post when Ozil picks up his inevitable 6-week-out injury

At home? No, probably not. City look unsure of themselves so I think we can attack. Our attacking players are in pretty good form right now.

Did you read my post? It was literally the sentence before that.
I said we are just talking about general tactics. Wenger is unlikely to change his tactics for a home CL game no matter who we have in the squad.
This is a football thread with 5 pages of bitching about some dumb video game and two people decide to talk about the CL and are told to worry about Monday instead. This place sometimes...

okay so Garden State wasn't totally as bad as I was expecting it to be but this (ending) scene in particular sent shivers down my spine; and not because it's a particularly good one mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTnzPuFPxPw n
but because this is literally what happened to me and we what we both said to each other back in 2012, down to the look at me line aaaaaaah so creepy! (not all lines of course…pls no bully) And you know, except my story ended at 3:30 :lol #Ellipsis
on a more positive note (sorry), I've got three tickets for Star Wars woohoooo! Really looking forward to this despite not being a fan
do you agree with Golden Globes nominations? Did you like the Hanzee and his minions twist or did you feel it was a bit forced?

By hixx Go To PostSo I watched A Most Violent Year last night. It was ok. I can't get around the fact that the solution to the big problem was "alright pet I've been skimming money from the company it's all going to be ok"In fact nearly every thread of the film was about as anti-climactic as it could have been. It's not what I expected. Still, it was an alright watch.
Canadian Netflix has some canny films on it. Much better than US or UK Netflix, at least.
It wasn't great but it had a few good moments, Isaac was legit and the final monologue was sensational
Oh man Wedward made me feel bad OK back to football talk!
Zamparini published his reply to a Palermo fan letter on their official website loool
Fuck we're paying Dybala FIVE MILLION a year?!?! But he's worth it, I mean, we were paying fucking Llorente 4-4.5 million not that long ago so..
it does put us in an awkward position come renewal talks though because there's no way we're gonna offer anybody more than 5 -_-
Zamparini published his reply to a Palermo fan letter on their official website loool
Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini is “seeking a foreign buyer” for the club. “I invested €100m that I’ll never see again.”
The patron is in his mid-70s and mentioned on several occasions he wants to sell the Serie A side.
He wrote a note on the official Palermo website replying to a letter sent by a fan.
“Dearest fan, I read your message, which was full of things that are not true because naturally you heard them from the sports press,” began the statement.
“When I arrived Palermo was a club full of debts, on the verge of bankruptcy. Since then, for the passion and love I have for football, every year I had to put new funds in to cover losses. Up to today that’s €100m, money that I’ll never see again.
“Selling Paulo Dybala this year allowed me to cover a €35m loss that I could not have covered. The same goes for past sales of players like Andrea Barzagli, Amauri, Edinson Cavani, Javier Pastore, Abel Hernandez, players who I discovered and bought.
“See, at Palermo today the biggest wages belong to Franco Vazquez at €1.5m per year, with the general wage structure at around €1m.
“Palermo bring in around €50m per year compared to the €350m of Juventus, €280m for Milan and Inter, €200m for Roma and Napoli.
“At Palermo, Dybala earned €0.8m per year. At Juventus he earns €5m. This is why champions leave Palermo: we cover the costs of running the club and they want to go to bigger sides where they can earn 10 times as much.
“It pains my soul to see fans who don’t know the truth, such as yourself. I am looking for a new buyer for Palermo, but it’s not easy to find people who will come in knowing they’ll lose a lot of money.
“I no longer have the money to lose. I am seeking an Arabian, Chinese or Russian millionaire who can afford to lose money.
“Meanwhile, with my work I am trying to bring Palermo into the second tier of Serie A, behind the big guns, even if that means being called incompetent by people like you.
“You see, I am an excellent businessman who created thousands of jobs, naturally not in football, and I want to create thousands more.
“If I were to leave today, Palermo would be left a club structured without debt and with balanced books. Years ago I left Venezia in the same situation, without debts, but after four years they were bankrupt!”
Fuck we're paying Dybala FIVE MILLION a year?!?! But he's worth it, I mean, we were paying fucking Llorente 4-4.5 million not that long ago so..

Might not go on the weekend as the weather alert is supposed to rise to orange on thursday and might even reach red again on Friday. I just hope the weather calms down on Sunday so I can fly back home.

By Scum Go To PostYes, rvy!Won't be as enjoyable as Devil's Third though.
I've never played Smash.
I don't like that sort of videogame.
Does anyone here use an inhaler? I was prescribed one today and the doc told me to use one of those mask/chamber things, but I think I feel the effects better without it.
By LFMartins86 Go To Postrvy, are you ok?There was a game on today?
I watched the first half of the game and that was painful to watch.
I don't pay much attention to football.
I just came here today because I saw the Star Wars spoilers and was hoping someone would join me in laughter.

By Esch Go To PostJuve should have spent the money on a proper 10 insteadhe sure proved everybody wrong, most of all me. ;_;

By rvy Go To PostIs Rey the new girl along Boyega?Yes.
Is that who Rey is?
By LFMartins86 Go To PostYes.Oh OK.
Allegri will still ask for a proper no. 10 next summer. He was a trequartista as a player, he'll be looking for himself in a player.
Unless Berardi convinces him we should stick with 4-3-3.

I just think it sucks for him, because he has to do work as a striker, #10, and probably some creative work deeper too. All in his first year at a new club. And he's a fetus.
What a player

By Xpike Go To Postno and considering some of the things that pop up later in the game i wouldn't bet on there ever being one.Why do so many people play games on their toasters? Won't someone think of the neglected refrigerators, microwaves, food processors, electric mixers, HVAC units, alarm clocks, and vibrators?
