thats when we get Wilshere and Rosicky back . and Arteta, to play for 25 minutes.
Rosicky will get injured immediately. His body is done I think.
Jack won't play until mid-February. Wenger will keep saying "next week"
By JesalR Go To PostIf by the last 3 seasons, you mean last season, then yes.
Nobody in Jan 14
Kallstrom on loan. I'd be fine with a loan in January if we can find someone good.
Year before we signed Monreal.
Just saying, all three buys/loans were because of an injury crisis so I don't see why this would be any different.

Don't think Arsenal have anyone who can do the same job really. Has Ramsey played in a normal CM role in the last 3 years or so? Always been further forward or wide iirc

The best part of all this will be when we finish 2nd or 3rd with a bare bones squad and then we can spend the whole summer saying if we just sign one or two top quality players we can win the league.
And all the while Wenger has convinced himself that if he can just keep this squad healthy he can win it without reinforcements.
Doesn't that sound fun lads?

I really wish he'd let Tomas go back to Prague. He seemed angry in the summer.
You are probably right about Jack. He didn't sound like he was in a hurry.
By FortunéFaded Go To PostI think you need to change your avatar.
Only if you do.
Everytime I see his toothless pyet all I can do is imagine him trying to say "sausages" without sounding ridiculous over and over and over and over and over and
Even if we buy a world class player with great sturdiness in Jan ,a week of Wenger training will destroy him

Played in CM next to Arteta in 2013-2014 when he was world class. Definitely got forward a lot, but I would say he was playing as a CM.
We had Santi on the wing drifting in to help with possession.
Our passing and possession is going to be a mess with players like Flamini, Ramsey, Ox, Campbell, Theo playing a lot.

I feel like his passing and ball retention has regressed badly since then though. Not that it's terrible now, but maybe a concern if he was to go back to CM

It was never great, but people forgave him because of the goals.
He also had Arteta next to him who was taking the majority of the touches.
He can definitely be sloppy. Hard to judge on the wing because he has less space and time, but it's not his strong suit. Rather have Jack in the middle when he is healthy.

The drama when Giggs gets sacked and replaced with GNev is going to be great.
And all the while Phil will be lurking in the shadows.

That was like pre-season lol.
He had plenty of good games that season before his injury.
Feel this is the beginning of the end for Santi at Arsenal.
If we go into next season with him as our starting CM I am going to ask someone to kick me in the head and sky my brain over the crossbar like every Santi shot.
Maybe i'll ask Suen to do it.

By Hitch Go To PostBit early to write him off, was the best CM in the league between September and the Spurs match imo
He was, but that was mainly against shit teams.
First good midfield he went up against he was absolutely dominated. If we want to really compete for the league we need someone better and stronger.
He is 30 and going to get fat soon.
GiantBomb's QL choices are a little odd now
The New York guys on WWE, when Jeff is great on the wrestling game QLs
And the same guys on Just Cause 3, when Dan reviewed it and they'd already done a long QL on it like 2 weeks ago

You know I love him, but he's basically good at recycling possession and key passes, and for his set pieces. Maybe once in a while he'll beat a defender... But truthfully we don't have a proper CM in the entire roster. He's done a great job of repurposing himself for that role in a pinch, but he lacks the size, strength and dynamism to really be a class player there.

Watching the Just Cause 3 QL. Alex is on top form for making endless terrible, terrible jokes that are completely ignored by the others.
I feel as though I'm watching myself, like a loose retelling of A Christmas Carol

Music list threads are the absolute worst.
Do people still read music reviews? I really don't see the need for them anymore. Unless your listening time is that limited and you only want to listen to highly reviewed music, what's the point?
Why do people treat these reviewers like experts when in reality they are no more qualified than the average person that listens to a lot of music?
If I buy something on vinyl 9 times out of 10 I have already listened to it online and decided it's worth spending money on.

Because when you try and review music objectively you get shit like theneedledrop.

Don't understand how anyone can not have time to listen to podcasts. If you don't want to that's another and understandable matter. But even most really busy people, have time where they are driving/in a train whatever, or cooking, where they can listen to a podcast.
I used to watch a lot more giantbomb stuff than I do now (i even quit my membership, RIP), and a lot of it was really fun stuff. Particularly the live action adventure games and endurance runs. It was a good thing to have on my second monitor, while playing FM on the other.

Well, as long as I get to call Kanye's music shit, I guess. Mostly just to piss people off.

Not questioning anyone's listening ability, just the ability to stomach the sheer quantity of unedited blather which seep from their dreary pores
I mean I like Kermode, but if his podcast contained 2 hours of chatter about cheddar cheese i'd probably stop
“Today I was ashamed of the way some players expressed their apathy on the pitch,” read a statement released by President Zamparini.
“Wearing the pink jersey of Palermo must be an honour for any player, because it is loved by one of the best fan groups in Italy.
“The players who show contempt for the shirt with this type of performance are not worthy of being called up to represent our colours ever again.
“I will take necessary steps.”

That is true. It is a great place to find new music that you may have missed. But the actual order is meaningless.

Well you did say time. But it's alright Linett. You don't like it. But I find it quite enjoyable, although Vinny not being in the normal podcast anymore and Ryan dying has considerably lowered my enjoyment of it all, and I far from listen or watch the majority of their stuff anymore. But I do enjoy stuff like Drews random stories about how he went to fly a plane after getting interest in flying them, from their flight sims, Dan taking Drew to Hoodslam or Jeff and Dans stories about being disgusting humans and so on.
Also L1nny / Weddz i listened to the Floating Points album since you two were raving about it. I like it a lot. Nice sampler platter of various styles. Might not be that focused as a result but likeable nonetheless because the songs are good and the technical breadth is admirable. Some ambient stuff, some acid jazz type material, some com truisey synthwave material etc etc
