Honestly, the only time I could fault Smalling all season is the second half vs Swansea. Haven't seen too much of Bayern this season, but Smalling's played nearly 20 matches and been exceptional 95% of the time.

The thing is, he is incredible value with his passes and crosses as well.
So even if he doesn't get tested as much as Smalling, he is playing exceptional well regardless.
There aren't many defenders who pull off these kind of things.
Hummels for example can, but he is far to inconsistent for two years now.
