I'm not a fan of Garnett or Pierce or tons of other guys. But they deserve standing ovations when they're introduced and the game is over in Staples if it's their last game. Any first ballot Hall of Famer should be respected by the league when they're about to retire.
Duncan, Dirk, KG, PP - when their final game is played in LA I would support a moment of gratitude from the organization and fans.
No matter how bad the Nash trade ended up screwing LA, I'm really glad he was always treated with respect when he was here. That's what the dude deserved.

If Melo can give them 20 more nights with 30+ ppg on good to great efficiency they'll get to 35-40 wins easily.

My team captain in my local fall draft league was last in the entire league in TS%, despite being second on our team in shot attempts. He also went 0 for 14 from 3 in a single game. He was also a complete turnstyle on defense due to a perennially bad knee, and when was done chucking he wouldn't/couldn't get back on D. Since he fancied himself a SG, I (our team's best defender at C) would often have to guard the other team's best wing player to prevent an endless layup line, which destroyed our interior D. Since one of our bench players was a complete zero and the other two missed half the season, he ended up playing nearly 40 minutes a game. We finished the season 1-9 despite having the league's leading scorer.
