By K@do Go To Posttbh Scott was probably asked to…
you know what, I got nothing
fuck that hack
I can almost understand tonight for Kobe but aside from that yeah like nothing he says makes any sense. At this point the only way Russell is going to play 30+ mins is Lou Williams and Nick Young being injured or traded. Then again I'm sure Scott will find another dumbfuck reason to bench him and let Kobe average 30+ mins for the rest of the season. And we all know he's too stupid to being pulling this fuckery for tanking.

damn - popped out of the woodwork and everything.
I feel bad for Sixers they are doing worse than Lakers but with a better coach...
Sixers coach is better than Byron Scott right?

the real question is is he wrong?
By K@do Go To Postlmao, at the kobe press conference a reporter straight out asked if he should retire now.

I didn't say anything about TD not winning, did I?

it's crazy that Jefferson might be in the RoY talks. A player outside the top 15 hasn't won it since Mark Jackson and a player outside the top 20 hasn't won it since like the 60s
Just read kobe's retirement letter after watching his press conference.
getting all nostalgic.
grown ass man leaking tears over over.
Thanks for the great memories champ.

Still not even a slight criticism of the Robin Lopez signing besides mine.
13 millions, 7 points, 6 rebounds.
I guess... he boxes out?

Let's be real, he's not in the conversation. Neither is Winslow. Awards value how much you shoulder, not just how efficient you are in a Bruce Bowen-type role.
Also, what he's done so far is not that unheard of.
In 99-00, Adrian Griffin won rookie of november, and he was an undrafted player.
Sabonis had an infinitely better rookie season too, and he was a worse player in 1995 than when he was drafted 24th in 1986.
Mike Finley, same season, had a more impressive rookie season than Hollis-Jefferson too and he was drafted 21st.
Even Manute Bol had a better rookie season...
There are quite a few examples in truth.
By Gabyskra Go To PostStill not even a slight criticism of the Robin Lopez signing besides mine.he's a completely complimentary player on a roster where literally no one fits next to him in a way that makes his contract make sense

but its really all downhill for NY from here unless a magical trade happens.

tough watching some of those kobe shots--a lot of times he gets the space and for whatever reason they just never go down, guess its the legs

Bryant’s comeback came in the form of a poem (so tasteful) posted over at Jeterland. Derek Jeter, as you recall, is the poster child for turning an otherwise unremarkable final season into a twisted personal brand rela2nch that no one asked for. Given the deterioration of his abilities and the urgent need for his team to develop its younger talent, Kobe Bryant should retire NOW. Today. He should fuck off in his Ducati and go write thoughtful journal entries or something.
These retirement tours have to end. They are endless, boring, contrived, and completely out of step with reality. It’s only November. I’m supposed to give a shit about Kobe Bryant retiring when he’s got five AWFUL months of urinating on teammates to go? Were the titles and MVP awards not enough formal adulation? Kobe Bryant built his entire career copying Michael Jordan’s moves and psychopathy, with NONE of the charm. (Even that stupid poem bites off Jordan’s retirement.) Why should I celebrate this nutjob’s willful blindness to reality, with his moron coach aiding and abetting it? If anything, Kobe Bryant deserves to finish out his career on some Siberian outpost, dragging his leprous body parts behind him just so he can deny a teammate an open look at the basket.
I’ve said it before: if you want to retire, retire. This instant. If you’ve already announced the end, then the end has already come. Everything afterward is painful and unnecessary. Steve Spurrier quit on the spot this season, and you know what? It takes balls to quit like a coward. It takes balls to risk scrutiny and finally admit, “You know what? I can’t do this,” and walk away, without pre-planning your own season-long ticker tape parade. We’re going to spend the rest of this season whitewashing Kobe Bryant’s legacy for no good reason. He should go home and leave us all alone forever. It’s what that asshole deserves.

Is it deadspin's thing to always write the most negative and biting take out there? Washed Kobe is still playing for the same reason Broken Down Manning is still playing: they're all time, stubborn competitors.

I agree with every single word of this. Kobe needs to stop. Now.
I guess my thing with the retirement tour is that I guess I'm supposed to pretend like I've always liked Kobe and be totally okay with the Wolves like having some kind of tribute to him next him. You know what, I hate Kobe. I hate him. All he did was torment my team for years and years. He ripped my heart out in 2003 when he basically beat the Wolves by himself. So, no, I don't want to honor the guy and give him some lame parting gift.
People gonna look back at these last few Kobe years as the lost years, where you were neither competitive or rebuilding, simply just being shitty to appease kobe's ego.
Unless you rebuild through free agency (which your front office was so laughably bad at it last offseason that they had to beg a free agent to take a second, pity filled empty gesture meeting with the team), good luck being the neo knicks
