I'll be honest, I've bitched about the amount of times I've seen ads for his movies during major sporting events, but apparently the man is box office gold right now.
$30 million: Domestic amount earned by Think Like a Man Too. 2012’s Think Like a Man opened to $33.6 million and also swept its premiere weekend. Think Like a Man Too won despite playing at 1,100 fewer theaters than the second-place 22 Jump Street and 2,000 fewer theaters than the third-place How to Train Your Dragon 2. (Both those sequels debuted last weekend.)
4: Movies starring Kevin Hart released in the past six months.
3: Movies starring Kevin Hart released in the past six months that debuted at no. 1 (Think Like a Man Too, January’s surprise hit Ride Along) or no. 2 (February’s About Last Night). (Bonus! Number of those films directed by Tim Story: two — Ride Along and Think Like a Man Too.) Grudge Match was an exception to Hart’s hot streak, debuting at no. 11 over the post-Christmas weekend, earning just $7 million in 2,800 theaters.
7: Upcoming Kevin Hart releases listed on IMDb. Seven! The trailer for the next release on Hart’s timeline, The Wedding Ringer, debuted last week.

Don't think i've seen any of his stuff. Ever. Will try to check some.
Skip all of his movies. His stand up specials are fucking great though.
I just find it fascinating that he's doing so well, because I remember how much they showed ads for Ride Along and I was like "who even likes Kevin Hart?" and then there was that movie with Michael Ealy earlier this year that was a remake of some 80s yuppie romcom and then a sequel to Think Like a Man. And it turns out the answer to "who likes Kevin Hart" is, a lot of fucking people.
I don't hate him, I hate how many commercials he's been in during sporting events but its pretty clear that whatever they spent on those was totally worth it so I can't really hate.

Apparently, this generation's Will Smith. Not offensive enough to whites with race jokes so that he can be a crossover entertainer.
Edit: I have only seen him in 40 Year Old Virgin, which was the unfunniest comedy I have ever seen in my life. Meh.

I was watching Undeclared, a Judd Apatow comedy series from 2000...and he had appearances in it. Seeing him 14 years younger was hilarious.

I don't think he has much appeal to whites, certainly nowhere near what Will Smith had.
who you think it was that bought out MSG?Apparently, this generation's Will Smith. Not offensive enough to whites with race jokes so that he can be a crossover entertainer.
