How often do you wash your denim? (Or Don't)

My Naked and Famous Stacked Guys are on week 24 so far. Throw them in the freezer on off days. Thinking of picking up a denim jacket/vest too
Nothing better than fading and breaking in pairs of selvedge and raws.
Do it for the fades.

I guess some of the suggested things is to use non-abrasive odor removing spray, the freezer (which is very temporary) or hang it out in the open and let the fresh air do its thing.
I think the biggest part is to just be hygienic overall. Nudies are great, fyi.

Yeah I usually freeze and air my denim and jackets out. I spray and freeze some of my shoes too.
Just wondering how long some of you have gone without a wash for a certain fade.
Is there a "dry shampoo" for denim? I haven't encountered this problem anywhere I lived, but I heard in more urban dense areas like New York, it's easier to catch bugs through clothes. I want to avoid it since I've never dealt with it.
I hate cockroaches and any kind of pest. I have always had hardwood or matted everything so I've never dealt with issues with carpets.

After 4 or 5 days of wearing them. Not washing them is really only an American thing, a marketing ploy by Levi's. Also jeans get loose quickly, washing them makes them feel nice and tight again. Some people look like Mc Hammer with parachute jeans.
It's not an american thing, it's a real thing.
I wash them when they need it. But i'm very good about hanging them up and airing them out. But if there are stains / smells, they get a wash.

No one does it here. It's called understanding bacteria and how they survive.
And don't pretend it does not add a couple sizes after you wear it for a couple of days. It's cotton, you need to wash it for the size to get back to normal. It's so weird how spandex is so rare in US jeans too.
I'm not American but I don't think it's a mainstream thing that many people do. Not many people know or want to take the effort to break in certain selvedge or raw denim or get certain fades.
It's a niche thing that people do for the look and fashion I guess. I've seen people from a lot of different countries do it since denim culture is worldwide. I've never had any jeans feel really loose, but that's probably because I wear pretty form fitting jeans.
If by spandex you mean elastics, then a lot of jean brands have it. Uniqlo, Naked and Famous, Big John, Samurai, Diesel, and more. There are a lot of jeans that stretch, more and more brands are doing it.

And "don't pretend" that washing them doesn't age them either. In both, wear and tear, and colour fade.
But this isn't "all jeans" either.
