http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX1NVaQbm7M&feature=youtu.beI guess that explains why he's good again.
Cheating Yanqueefs?
Hey guys so how bout dem Yanke–At least we know why now..
*is booed out of the thread*
But no seriously, Tanaka and Pineda are badasses, and I might kinda sorta not be completely and utterly repulsed by Tacoby anymore? Maybe?
I'm sure that'll pass once he reaches a true cold streak.
Just kidding, I rather have cheating Pineda than cheating Montero. At least Pineda is playing well when he cheats!
Pineda can cheat all he wants, he just has to stop daring everyone else to point out the obvious.
Shame about Jesus though.
Shame about Jesus though.
When are the Rangers finally gonna get some hitting?
10th in wOBA and 12th in wRC+ (in the AL), ouch!
Andrus and Fielder are the two biggest culprits although you've been getting nothing from the guys playing 2nd.
So I guess you pretty much have to hope for Fielder to start hitting again. He's currently putting up career lows in BABIP, ISO and BB%. His contact numbers are all in line with his career norms but he's hitting way more ground balls than normal, which with his foot speed, aren't translating into hits. So yeah, better start hoping his power comes back and he starts hitting more balls in the air!
Also Mitch Moreland hasn't been very good at DH.
Fielder should turn it around eventually. He's had a lot of hard hit outs and he should be able to bring the FB's up. It's kind of funny how Kouzmanoff has been by far the best hitter the Rangers have had.
Isn't half their team injured or something?
They've gotten Beltre, Lewis and Harrison back already, but then they lost Figueroa and Kouzmanoff to significant injuries. So yeah, they've already had 34 players on the 25 man rosters due to all the injuries.

He's been in decline for like 3 years. I mean I think he won't be hitting like a fat Juan Pierre forever but he's probably not gonna hit 40 dingers again.
Welcome eznark!
Did you know Mark Reynolds is two years younger than Corey Hart?
Melvin > Z
Jack Z is a terrible GM! Corey Hart has somehow been one of the best off season moves the team made.
It's funny that the Yanks have like triple the payroll of the Mets and have the same record. Did I mention the Mets can't hit for shit either?
The Mariners are in 2nd place, 2 games out of first. They play a double header today and have one of the best pitchers on the planet starting one of the games. I can't believe I'm still excited about the Mariners in May!
Well Mets kneejerking all over the place. After getting swept by the Marlins, they finally going to punt defense at SS. DFA's Omar Quintanilla and it sounds like they're promoting Wilmer Flores, natural 3rd base prospect but w/o a true position.
Well it's official about Wilmer Flores, although it may not be pretty.
The Mets abandoned using Flores at shortstop in the minors after the 2011 season, only to reinstate him at the position this season after he spent eight weeks at agility camp. The move, though, appeared primarily out of desperation for options.
ESPN Stats & Information's Mark Simon computed early Wednesday that Mets opponents have a .278 batting average on groundballs – highest in MLB. That's undoubtedly attributable in some substantial part to a lack of infield range. Adding Flores may be a further drag.
Then again, the Mets need offense. They will enter the weekend series at Citi Field against the Philadelphia Phillies on a 23-inning scoreless drought, their longest since 2010. Mets shortstops this season have combined to hit .194 with no homers and nine RBIs in 103 at-bats.
Flores has committed seven errors and has a .941 fielding percentage in 24 games at shortstop with Las Vegas through Tuesday.
Flores is starting at shortstop for Las Vegas on Wednesday night at Salt Lake, which is likely why the promotion is not official. He entered the game hitting .296 with five homers and 23 RBIs in 108 at-bats. He was hitless in four at-bats at the major-league level in one start at second base this season while Daniel Murphy was on paternity leave.
Errors are not the best way to judge a person's defense.I'd use UZR/150, but the answer I get after doing the calculation is HAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that the Marlins anticipate Jose Fernandez needing season-ending elbow surgery.RUH-ROH.
It had been trending that direction, but this is the first we've heard of a Marlins source conceding that Tommy John surgery is a likely outcome.
Fernandez has already undergone a pair of MRIs and a decision about his status should be made soon. The stud young right-hander has put up a 2.44 ERA and 70/13 K/BB ratio in 51 2/3 innings this season.
So who's the next guy to go down to Tommy John?
I predict Ryan Braun. All those roids have to have a side effect besides shriveled testicles.

If the Ms would have gotten Cruz we might have been a much more dangerous team..
I can't help but to think we are one or two bats away from being a decent little team

I don't think his numbers would dip too low.. I mean if he was .275 with 9 hrs we would look soooooo much better with that in the lineup..

What about Kendrys? Suddenly we need a DH and he would be a good fit for that
Though I doubt we get him. We offered him 14/1 qualifying then 3/30 and he turned both down, he must hate Seattle lol

With Prince out, I think he may be taking his services to Texas...
This is awesome. I usually don't start caring about baseball until basketball is about done. So no sooner do I tune in than the Jays start killing it.
Which is good, because the Rogers Centre is already kind of a gloomy plastic cavern, it's extra depressing when they're losing.

Dave Hudgens fired
Valverde released
Collins may be next
why Mets…
Were the Mets expecting to be good this year or something?

They paid for the best one available this off season. They were ready to pay Morales and Nelson Cruz and neither of them wanted to play in Seattle. And with Miller and Franklin both sucking it up there's not much they can do.

just a shame to waste the efforts of the arms.. really one more bat and we'd be in great shape
