You really think watching PP and KG lose is a Knicks thing? This is clearly left over Lakers/Celtics resentment
Also, I agree KG being Apollo is wtf, but KP looks like Drago and Phil yelling Triangle followed by 3 punches. Awesome

You really gotta go Blueberry if you're going for pie. Is Pecan Pie like the Australian equivalent of Apple Pie?
The season hasn't even started and I'm losing it.
Jrue, QPon, Asik, Ajinca, Cole, Gordon, Evans, and Babbitt.
that is the list of players injured to some capacity on our roster. 4 of our 5 starting players.
Go back and look at out franchise and this is a running theme for nearly a decade. I'm fucking tired of it. Even our 140 million dollar player averages only about 65 games a year. We overspend on Peja. Then Tyson gets injured and we try and trade him for scrubs, tearing apart the cp3 core in the process. Cp3 and Dwest get injuries. Decide fuck it and make a pact to leave. We trade for Gordon who has never been healthy. Then trade two first rounders for Jrue who can't stay on the court. In between countless role players missing significant time. We can't scout healthy players, we can't keep players healthy and we can't rehab injrued players. This franchise is a fucking joke and I won't even be mad in a few years when the city gives even less of a shit and we move to Seattle.

Pumpkin pie is my favourite america dessert. I like using kabocha more since it is sweeter and is denser to make paste than hollow spongy pumpkin.
You can prepare it in so many ways. Ferment/pickle it, roast it, fry it, make it into soup, make curry, make it into dessert. You can use with so many spice.

By DY_nasty Go To PostGuys getting perennially injured is a sign of desperation. Look at OKC with KD last year. Franchises rush them back to try and appease some interested party, a star, owners, fan base.
Which is sort of where the pels have been for a decade :(
TRUST THE PROCESS
Embiid was determined to go to Vegas to party for the balance of the 10 days of summer league. While Embiid was in Vegas, he was mandated to wear the walking boot in advance of the second surgery, but Embiid not only refused to wear the boot, but he carried himself as if nothing was wrong with the foot, shooting jumpers and even occasionally dunking. These actions have given rise to the theory that Embiid actually re-broke his foot, rather than the initial injury not healing properly. It also led to Embiid having the surgery a month later than the club originally had hoped.
This type of disregard for instruction also extends to Embiid’s dietary habits. Per a source, the Sixers’ training staff was so concerned about what he was eating, they stocked the refrigerator in his downtown hotel residence each week with healthy food. When a staffer went to restock the fridge each week, most everything was uneaten and unopened, and they were throwing out the fruits and vegetables every week. When the team subsequently asked to see Embiid’s room service bill, they found that most days he was ordering junk food along with his signature beverage, a pitcher of Shirley Temples. Embiid also was frequently seen feasting on chicken fingers and hot dogs at and after games.
According to a source, Saric’s father, who acts as a de facto representative for his son, doesn’t want the Sixers close to Saric. When Hinkie traveled to Turkey to meet with Saric in the summer of 2014, he was given very little face time with him, at the father’s direction. If Saric waits until the 2017–18 season to come to the NBA, he’ll be able to sign a contract that is not subject to the rookie wage scale (in the same way Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic did). As much as Hinkie is playing the long game, having to wait three full seasons to get a first-round draft pick signed and on the floor sets back the program.http://www.si.com/thecauldron/2015/10/16/philadelphia-76ers-sam-hinkie-joel-embiid-brett-brown-process
p sure i was the only one here who dogged embiid for his personality before the combine even happened
with that said id be surprised if he didnt look like a gawd with his shirt off right now--don't think ive ever seen him not look in shape

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postfuck around and let them get ben simmons and use a lil cap and yall gonna see thowho was the last big name free agent to go to Philly?
i mean if you've got ben, jahlil and nerlens, potentially embiid barring disaster--that's a core you can build around--you don't need any all-stars, they'll be able to get a lot of good roleplayers.
By blackace Go To Postwho was the last big name free agent to go to Philly? The "big name free agent" chase is such a mirage though. The number of legitimately huge free agents to change teams in free agency (or even to force a trade) is pretty small.
By blackace Go To Postwho was the last big name free agent to go to Philly?Elton Brand?
But is the kind of place, especially right now, that would have to really overpay.

I would expect them to have to move one of their bigs to get shooting and ball handling..
By KingGondo Go To PostThe "big name free agent" chase is such a mirage though. D12, Iggy, Millsap, Jefferson, Evans, Smith, AB, Martin, AK47...
2014 more of the big names stayed home but LBJ, Stephenson, Parsons, Deng, Gasol and some other decent sized names changed teams..
This year the market wasn't very big but not many moved.. but I am not see the mirage tho..
By rodeoclown Go To PostElton Brand?yeah in 2008 when they stole him from the Clippers
But is the kind of place, especially right now, that would have to really overpay.
Riley wanted Elton, too.
People keep saying that Lebron going to Miami was some sort of plan concocted years before it happened but Riley tried to tie up that cap space so many times between 2008 and when Lebron got there that it was likely just a series of things that just happened to work out much closer to the decision.
Riley almost maxed out Shawn Marion, Riley almost got Juwan Howard in his prime till that fell apart allowing for the Shaq trade to happen. Riley has benefited almost as much from his ability to not make happen as he has for actually making things happen.
and that's my hot Riley take for 2015.

By blackace Go To Postin like 2013 almost every big name free agent changed teams.. D12, Iggy, Millsap, Jefferson, Evans, Smith, AB, Martin, AK47…I think it's a mirage because if you're hinging your entire strategy on luring a truly game-changing player in free agency, that's very hard to do. Probably a fool's errand because you're going all-in on luring someone when the current situation probably isn't that appealing. You have to sell guys on the team's potential or marketing or other factors.

The number of guys who even fit the description of "game-changing" is short. Maybe 20 or 30 guys, and that's being generous and including some who probably fit the category of "really nice role player" like Ibaka, Al Jeff, Millsap, or Iggy.
It's super-rare for a guy of the caliber of Shaq or LeBron to change teams in free agency. That's all I'm saying. It's an incredibly risky (and dumb) team-building strategy imo.
Next summer is an exception because of the explosion of cap room, so a guy like KD will really be able to pick from virtually any team in the league. That's unprecedented though.
