the Hornets look pretty good in this game.. i hope they are good, Big Al and Marvin Williams are great dudes.
By DY_nasty Go To PostLin is totally gonna take Kemba's spot lmaoIs Kemba getting outplayed by Jeremy Lin supposed to be a good thing for the Hornets franchise?
Anybody else using that Carmelo tool from 538?
I know its based on math but I don't agree with its assessments.

Lin scores 16 points and people think he's back. Lulz.
This is going to be a long and frustrating season for you Dy

By unknown Go To PostWhen did I say that? Wiz aren't doing anything in the playoffs and wall does not have more value than the entire knicks roster. You are overhyping a good player with no jumper.
the only thing the Knicks could offer me for Wall is a location swap.
New York Wizards 8-)

Kerr says he wants to let media and fans know what his health issue is. He suffered spinal fluid leak caused by 1st surgery
Said no timetable for return, but feeling better.

Not sure if thats a great idea for a low post guy though
RT @CBSSportsNBA: John Wall to owe Wizards coach $100 for every two-plus turnover game http://t.co/Y21Tx83Ijh http://t.co/VmhqCHXnEB

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postits a fucking terrible idea not to mention give the money to a needy family not your coach smhHe just gave a couple hundred thousand to charity. Stop making me defend Wall.
By diehard Go To PostEhh Al uses his rear-end pretty often.not to really push people with... he spinning off contact and throwing up that ugly pump fake
Issue was he wasn't even mobile last year. We need him to move from low to mid more to keep the offense from being anymore predictable than it already is.
I'm still kinda shocked at how bad Lance still looked tho

Cousins is 1-10 from 3pt land in pre-season
boogie pls
Though it doesn't help that Karl has him operating out high to begin with.

By Gabyskra Go To PostYeah you probably watched a couple games of his 4 years ago and you think he's the same player.I watched a few wizards games. a lot of their play off games.
His inability to hit jumpers, just like rondo's, gets massively exposed in the playoffs and it significantly hurts the team in the half court. Nothing has changed about that in 4 years (or the two years they've made the playoffs in that time span).
So you can leave the persecution card at the door. He is what he is. Being aggressively offended by it won't change that.
Gaby's in love with Wall all of a sudden lol.
(He's no longer an awful shooter but he's still not good)
(He's no longer an awful shooter but he's still not good)
Nothing sudden about it, I've always defended him, I remember taking part in dumb af discussions about Wall compared to DJ Augustin here. I've seen him live about 15 times last season, and plenty more on the screen. You compare him to Rondo, when in truth, he's had better midrange %s than Knight, Lowry... slightly better than Reggie Jackson... similar to Ty Lawson... Just look at the split stats for 2014-15. This is a fact, not an opinion. Any person who has watched a few Wizards games this season can tell you that. He's not a 3 point shooter, big fucking news, he's 39% from the 16ft-23ft range, which is better than a vast majority of guards. Wall's game has changed.
He injured his wrist in the playoffs, he missed games for it, your remark shows how much you paid attention really.
Persecution card? Yeah fuck off. I didn't talk about myself. Show me what I said that sounded persecuted in any way. I just said, you haven't paid attention, and clearly you haven't.

Oh. I did. And much like his vaunted 3pt % from 13-14 (.351) I'll believe it when he does it regularly or assume it'll just go back to his average, like his 14-15 3pt% (.300).
He's better on offense than Rondo was, and by all reports a much better team mate / leader/ person. But he has many similar limitations too.
You can't compare Rondo to Wall at all tho.
You actually have to guard Wall. Dude made great strides at PG in last year's playoffs. It was night and day compared to that series the year prior.

By diehard Go To PostDY kinda stopped hating on Wall though. propsHe still hating on kemba and not giving him props.
I honestly can't hate on Wall anymore. Think I said as much after the playoffs were over. You can make a real argument for him being the best PG in the league right now.
I've started hating on Damian instead. Time to pass the torch.

John Wall shot 39.4 % 2pt range last year for 211-535

You could. It'd be stupid. But you could.
By giririsss Go To PostYou could. It'd be stupid. But you could.
Right, that argument would rest on his ability to deliver 10 assists a game to a supporting cast comprised of average players at best, while impacting the tempo of the game like few others, and defending perfectly both his position and most passing lanes on the perimeter...
... all that would be stupid, of course.
Let's pretend he hasn't improved his eFG% by 5% and taken his team to decent success in spite of Wittman's inability to understand what a basketball court looks like.
He's not playing with Karl Malone or Blake Griffin, but Marcin Gortat... Take him off and the Wizards are at the bottom of the East. There aren't many players in a situation where more is asked of them... Anthony Davis of course, maybe Melo.
By Gabyskra Go To PostRight, that argument would rest on his ability to deliver 10 assists a game to a supporting cast comprised of average players at best, while impacting the tempo of the game like few others, and defending perfectly both his position and most passing lanes on the perimeter…The Reigning MVP and best player on the team that won the chip, is a PG, and not named John Wall.

Sure, everyone knows how good Curry is, no one is debating that. It's a classic case of whether or not he's the position he's listed at. Kinda like Duncan at C. Wall fits the role. So it's semantics. No one is saying Curry is not the king.

But out of all the top PGs in the league right now, Wall easily has the worst supporting cast and his team's success is almost absolutely dependent on him.

Gortat and Nene aren't complete bums. And lets not act like Beal isn't also good. And I'm not saying Wall isn't good, he obviously is, I'm just saying he has limitations.
Limitations that, particularly in the play offs, hurt the team a lot. Much like having a C that can't defend, having a PG that can't space is really limiting.
