Thing is, there's a proper nucleus of a good team there. He's cleared out the deadwood, got the difference really well organised, bought a few class players (Schneiderlin was good again today), and yet he persists with Rooney.
Before I get chastised for picking on him again, it's van Gaal's fault he's in the team. But it means leaving Young on the bench. It means putting our best attacking threat out wide. It really does mean playing with ten men. It's really, really concerning.
We absolutely must beat Villa on Monday night, huge chance to catch up with the chasing pack and build more distance to Chelsea.

Well as a swansea fan I have to say that the scoreline really didn't represent the match. Swansea played well for large parts and looked likely to get an eqauliser but that second goal killed the game totally. It was a poor decision by the ref (as I said you touch a keeper these days and it's a foul). After that it was all arsenal as the players just lost all confidence.
So yeah arsenal got the win and well done but they didn't look that good for large parts of the game. If they want the title then they need better overall performances for 90 minutes.

It's an inherent flaw in our squad, and it doesn't matter whether Martial is played up top on his own or shunted out left, we can't expect to rely on him.
