By explaining same 5 things over and over I'm assuming you mean people asking what brought you to Japan? In nz it's like 55% foreigners so I dont have to deal with that question half as much as I assume you have to, I experienced it at a smaller scale so it's hard to relate. Unless you mean just generally introducing yourself to new people - we can all relate there lol.
Maybe come up with a shorter way of introducing yourself and save the proper explanation to those you feel a connection with. Friends and people to talk to(even slaent lads) are important, and it's an obvious suggestion but try meeting people with similar interests. Eg, I met most of my current m8s at the golf club, 7 a side and lawn bowls.

I'm a get out there type of person but it's like really hard in Tokyo. People here, myself included, get trapped in a bubble so easily and establishing relationships is hard work in itself. Japanese people have established friends from work or high school and don't really allow new people in, and hanging out with other foreigners is always depressing because the pool is tainted. Everyone is a weird ass weeb and the few cool people go home in a year or two and it turns into another iMessage relationship.
Honestly it's just all getting to me. I'm in a bad mood 6 days out of every week except the hours I'm in class working or with my wife and that's no way to live.

I really wanted to like / love it and for a while I kinda did, but by the end of S2... I don't know. I've grown to dislike and not care for the raspy-voiced manaical kneecapper and most of his marry band, even Finch. I've never quite managed to digest the very 'actual', sure, but all too :rollseyes-y premise of the show. The writing and plot I found competent to solid at best. And so on. I'm not at all surprised that people like it. But to the extent some here seem to? No way.
This is the last time I speak ill(-ish) of the show, I promise. :)
