gosh that was poor.
Looks like Zaza wants to set an off side record
I wonder if Maradona is at the game, god knows he loves to stick is bloated drag queen face up at these type of games
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostFabregas can do everything Ozil can, plus score goals.
Long range passes, short range, the one-two's, the vision, the goals.
Plus that doesn't even include the things you can't quantify like his heart and desire. How many games he won through his sheer will was staggering.
Fabregas might have fallen off, but he is still one of the most complete passers in the world, a much better all rounder than Ozil.
Ozil is a quality player, but from what I have seen not world class, because world class means being consistent.
Prime Fabregas lol. He's just 28 years old.
You wanna talk leadership and propelling sides to victories? Okay. When Fabregas was in his "prime" he was a barca bench player. For all his supposed heart and desire, he lead Arsenal football club to precisely dick. And he certainly didn't lead at barca, and doesn't at chelsea. Ozil pushed a Werder side to a DFB when he was a whelp. Was amazing at Real Madrid despite his age and relative experience. In fact his contributions helped fuel the first two trophies Arsenal's had in a decade. Was a key player in a German World Cup win, creating the 2nd most chances of anyone in the entire tournament... Despite being played out of position.
Ozil might not be able to score goals, but despite that he's still better than Cesc right now. And he has fucking Olivier Giroud in front of him, not a Van Persie or Costa or whoever. Try loving the players you have instead of leaning on nostalgia.

Nah
It will all come good. Just need the winning mentality and character.
Exactly what someone said Ozil Is exactly the same player he was at Madrid, they just put away his chances.

You know, or rather you should know what I meant by prime.
We can argue all day about what each has achieved, or hasn't achieved.
But when Fabregas was with us he was a match winner, helped make players better, and was someone who you knew would give it his all for the 90 minutes. All of these are things that are sadly missing from Ozil's game.
I think Fabregas is a cunt, but I am not gonna white wash over his Arsenal career and act like he wasn;t the better player, just because we won a couple FA Cups with Ozil.
Anyway, time to concentrate on Juve

I just realised that with Messi and Totti both injured that makes Berardi the best player in the world right now.
The future has come early. What a weekend.

What a disgrace, clearly trying to get extra money based off of Berardi's name, before Konami said fuck off

Quite nice watching a sport where I understand only the absolute basics, and getting indignant over the correct application of the rules :P

That is no excuse, this team is just making sloppy mistakes and looks disorganised at the back.

Doesn't make players better? Did you see us at newcastle without him? Or perhaps when he was gone for months with a knee injury, and the minute he stepped back into the side we went from getting bummed by Stoke etc to performing better than any club in the country second half of the season? Our offense is devoid of any creativity without him. If you don't think he gives his all over 90', i don't agree with you anymore. today he was even more active in the second half, taking shots etc. And at Zagreb when we were down he certainly gave his all. His general #miles ran per game is quite high.
I agree that he needs to score goals. and he would if we consistently played what he's good at: counterattacking football.
I'll say this much about Ozil and Cesc and then I'll try and stay out of it because I think it's a redundant topic that we've covered numerous times over the years with _____Vs. _____.
Ozil has never looked as good as he did that summer in South Africa. That one tourney is the reason he's on anyone's radar outside of Germany and that's why Madrid bought him.
Ozil is a great player. He is not a superstar. Arsenal are a club full of great players. Sanchez is their star.
Cesc is on (was on) a Chelsea side with great players and a few superstars. That is obviously no longer the case. He was a superstar for 5 months last season and certainly had many superstar seasons in the past. But he's been struggling in 2015 with consistency. No longer does he take control and make decisions when on the ball either from mid field or in front of goal. He'll make a pass like he did today where you think he's wonderful; then he'll vanish for half and hour and you won't remember if he's on the pitch until he's left flat footed while your keeper is picking the ball out of the back of the net. I think he's still a great player on his day but on the decline. He's certainly not--and never has been--the type of player to carry a side over the line when they're struggling. He's a cog in the machine and nothing more.
