By cashman Go To PostIt probably is tbh. They're not recruiting at Ole Miss levels but Briles is popular with HS Coaches in Texas who have a weirdly high amount of influence apparently. I don't think there have really been any wtf situations with Baylor getting a recruit over Texas, that offense is just really appealing.I guess there's no way to know unless they're caught doing something.
And to be fair, besides guys like Oakman and Billings they haven't recruited nearly as well on D.
I remember Billings as a guy that Texas really wanted, but he was from Baylor and a Baylor fan so it was always gonna be a tough pull. I also remember something about Mack Brown recruiting him as an OG when he clearly wanted to play Defense but I'm not sure...
I think Baylor got lucky in that RGIII led that team to such a good record, and then they didn't fall apart the next season, which triggered a sudden massive injection of money into the football program (including building a completely new stadium, not even refurbishing the old one), which let them continue to recruit and not fall apart. Lightning struck and they managed to bottle it.
Nebraska basically got out of the Big 12 just in time to avoid the Baylor train. It used to be if you lost to Baylor as a Nebraska coach, you would have likely been automatically fired the next day. Today it would be expected.

By KingGondo Go To PostWhich leads me to believe that there's no way that Baylor isn't paying players like crazy.
Sure they run a fun offense and stuff, but Briles can't be the whole story.

Anyone that knows anything about Stidham's recruitment knows about the shady stuff Briles does. I get really annoyed at all the "a commit chose another school, clearly they are cheating" talk that goes on on pretty much all school's message boards but that one is a pretty open and shut case.
By cashman Go To PostThat Okie Lite devil magic thoUs looking like shit for most of this season was a ploy to make the rest of the Big 12 overlook us.
Dammit. I had forgotten what it was like to have to defend your undefeated team from SEC mouthbreathers because of the "eye test."

By cashman Go To PostI'm probably biased because of the Texas game, but I don't know if I believe in OSU yet either. I wanna see them beat Baylor like they beat TCU.We're a very good team with a huge flaw: a lack of a running game. If we can run the ball decently in any game we'll win going away.
The lack of running puts a huge amount of pressure on Rudolph and our defense. Luckily those guys are pretty damn good.
Missouri coach Gary Pinkel has tweeted his support for the football players who are striking until the university president is removed.
Between this and the Michael Sam stuff Mizzou is really showing themselves to be a stand-up program.

The AP needs to fire professional troll Jon Wilner into the fucking sun.

76 years ago today, Texas Tech played Centenary in a game that still holds 13 NCAA records due to the incredibly sloppy weather conditions (which caused each team to resort to constant punting).
77 punts, 67 of which came on first down. Texas Tech punter Charlie Calhoun had 1,318 yards punting. Both teams combined for 30 total yards on 33 total plays.
The game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Fuck Grayson Lambert, piece of shit. 3rd and 1 at the 10, takes a 15 yard sack holding on to the ball backing away from defender. I hate this team so much

Oops.
By KingGondo Go To PostI think I picked UGA to win the MNC over on that other forum.I've learned my lesson concerning picking Georgia to win things.

Unfortunately, learning that lesson meant that I picked Tennessee to win the East this year.

UGA is a dumpster fire.
By Karl2177 Go To PostGarbage tier refsYeah, that was bad. Clearly a TD.
Things are going pretty well for us thus far. Only points for KSU thus far are from a kickoff return after we scored on the opening drive.
Slowed down a bit on the last few offensive drives, though.

By cashman Go To PostSee, ISU wasn't so bad after all.I'm glad we played week 6 Iowa State instead of week 10+ Iowa State.
Getting burned on the scramble. Again.
We put ourselves in position to lose with a TO like that by playing so poorly to open the game.
