2013 Texas @ Iowa State. Pass interference called on Iowa State even though 2 Texas linemen were clearly holding. Pass interference called on a ball that was 10 feet over the head of a Texas receiver. Only a personal foul on Mike Davis for attacking the knees of an Iowa State player after the play was clearly over, versus an ejection if it was any other game. Iowa State was only behind Kansas State in least penalties per game in the Big 12, but after that night they were just below Texas Tech for most penalties; Iowa State would finish the season with the fewest yards penalized and tied for second with the least number of penalties.
Let's not forget the most egregious call of all, which was the strip of Jonathan Gray by Jeremiah George at the 1 yard line. George was already at the 30 yard line before whistles came in. The officials initially said Gray was down by contact and would later change it to down by forward progress so it couldn't be reviewed.
At first I thought it was all an elaborate plan to keep Mack with a job, but over time I realized it was just really shitty officials. Hopefully Texas fans will get over it.

By KingGondo Go To PostSo erm, you decided to bail on GAF altogether?Probably not, now that I've cooled down. I'm just fucking sick of the people allowed to come in there and make comments similar to the one that I highlighted with little fear of repercussion. If I were a betting man, I'd say it was CJ or Cyan that banned the guy who's post I linked to and, if so, I'm certainly appreciative, but the assholes that get to start the discussion off with the "herp derp fuck the south they're all racists" with the very first reply skate on by. You shouldn't have to highlight posts like that for moderation when they're right there for all to see.
Yeah, it isn't cool how entire regions are branded as ignorant and racist.
By all means, make fun of our football fans, dumb politicians and wacky redneck hijinks but also realize that there are many people here and elsewhere in flyover country who want things to be better.

By GQman2121 Go To PostWhy is this TCU/Texas game still being aired on national television?I think a better question would be why does TCU still have so many starters playing?
By KingGondo Go To PostShaky start by our D, but the offense answered so I feel good. KSU's backup QB is in too.Considering that their starting QB for most of the season was already their 2nd or 3rd string guy and had literally never started a game at QB before (even in high school) I'm not sure what this even means anymore.
We finally get a stop, then turn it over on our next play and give up a touchdown another play later.
Fucking awful.

I know that a loss today has been pretty likely even since the 1st quarter but it's great to be past being a team that gives up when they get behind by a few scores.
Down 2. Time to go get the lead.
KSU is something like 49-0 when leading at halftime over the last 49 games.

Yeah, that isn't a conspiracy. It's flat-out incompetence.
The Big 12 is a joke in so many ways, and officiating is front and center right now.
I'd be pissed if I was a K-State fan. Worse than anything that happened last week against UT.

WEEK SIX PICK 'EMS
Remember, I'm representing the spread next to the team favored to win by the number of points in parentheses next to them. You decide if that team will win by more than that amount of points (i.e., they'll "cover" the spread) or whether you think they will either win by fewer than that amount of points or just outright lose (either of these would be a "no cover" scenario). If you have questions, ask!

Rules:
1. 1 Point for every COVER/NO COVER pick you make correctly.
2. The Person with the highest total that weeks gets 3 bonus points.
3. Ties to determine who gets the bonus points will be based upon predicting the total number of points stored in Washington State v. Oregon (I'll call this the TOTAL POINTS SCORED or TPS pick). For those who are tied, we'll look at this pick. Closest gets the bonus points.
4. If two people pick the same TPS, then no one gets the bonus points. HOWEVER, if people are off from the TPS by the same amount, but one went high and the other went low, then The Price is Right rules apply, and the person under the actual TPS gets the bonus points.Example: If the TPS in the game is actually 58, and one person guesses 50 and the other 66, then the person who guessed 50 gets the tiebreaker and the bonus points.5. If anyone correctly guesses the exact TPS, they will receive 2 bonus points.

Predict the total number of points scored! NOTICE! WE'RE STILL USING THE TOTAL POINTS SCORED IN THE GAME BY BOTH TEAMS!

Two big injuries in the Big 12 - West Virginia safety Karl Joseph and Oklahoma State LB Ryan Simmons.
By Monroeski Go To PostTwo big injuries in the Big 12 - West Virginia safety Karl Joseph and Oklahoma State LB Ryan Simmons.Yeah, it's really a shame about both. Simmons was a great senior leader and that injury ended his career.
Joseph's loss will hopefully open things up a bit for us in the passing game.
Maryland is gonna fire Randy Edsall after their game against Ohio State, apparently.
If that's the case, why not just do it and get it over with?
