By Monroeski Go To PostSomebody blew an assignment pretty bad on the Oklahoma State defense there.Yeah, that's inexcusable.
Averette completely lost contain.
We've still had a nice season but what a clusterfuck to end it on.
We started the game with some fire in our bellies but now it's a glorified scrimmage.

By Monroeski Go To PostSo is it known what the deal is with Walsh playing so much?Rudolph must be hurt worse than was reported.
He came in for one series and threw a pick 6.
I'm honestly not even mad. We're just getting beat. The disappointing thing is we never really had a chance as soon as Walsh trotted out there.

we looked like shit against VT and state... im shook
LSU's AD didn't want to appear "mean spirited" in firing Les. Basically, all the pomp and circumstance's of this last game made them fear the backlash of firing him.
Texas could be putting Oklahoma State into the Sugar Bowl right now.
TCU is ranked higher in the CFP rankings, but according to Jake Trotter Okahoma State's head to head win would trump that.

By Monroeski Go To PostTexas could be putting Oklahoma State into the Sugar Bowl right now.Mannnnn... The Sugar Bowl has been my most desired bowl trip for a while (NOLA is awesome, drivable, and warmer than OK this time of year) but I'm gonna be in Maine visiting my wife's family.

Thought I'd be safe planning to go up there this year, but I was wrong.
What a crazy year in the Big 12.
By cashman Go To PostWhat a miserable end to the season.Which loss would be worse: this or Iowa State?
By KingGondo Go To PostWhich loss would be worse: this or Iowa State?Doesn't look likely now but this one by far. This is as close as I've been to jumping on the fire Charlie bandwagon.
By cashman Go To PostYou're welcome GondoMeet me in NOLA I'll buy you a drink!
By cashman Go To PostTexas might be able to beat Florida no joke.I was rooting to be able to play them in the Sugar Bowl instead of Ole Miss.
That said, apparently Gundy expects Rudolph to play so our chances are much better of pulling the (slight) upset.
By KingGondo Go To PostI was rooting to be able to play them in the Sugar Bowl instead of Ole Miss.Speaking of Rudolph, it occurred to me over the weekend that Oklahoma got to face backup QBs in all three of their toughest conference games this season. They got Stidham, Kohlhausen/Sawyer, and Walsh instead of Russell, Boykin, and Rudolph.

Really wanted Miami to get in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Would have loved to have gone to that.
No way I'm going to watch them play in El Paso.

OU fans in my office are a bit overconfident. They've been playing great but beating Clemson and Bama back to back will be really, really hard. A year ago Clemson took them behind the woodshed *without* Watson.
They caught a break by potentially being able to play Bama on a week's preparation though.

Heisman finalists -
1. Derrick Henry (Alabama)
2. Christian McCaffrey (Stanford)
3. Deshaun Watson (Clemson)

Looks like Cumbie has turned down the Texas OC offer.
Texas has moved on to Tulsa co-OC Sterlin Gilbert.
Henry is probably the most replaceable, as you could argue he's just the next in line of Alabama "system" RBs, but even given that he has the most single season yards of any Alabama RB in their entire history. He needs 207 yards to get the all time career record, a total that he could get in one game, and he potentially has two games left (assuming he goes pro, and I can't imagine he won't).
::edit::
To be clear, I'm not saying that Mayfield isn't good, just that I don't think he was quite Heisman material.

By KingGondo Go To PostAs much as it pains me to say, Baker Mayfield got jobbed. He's clearly the best of what OU has to offer, but I'm not so sure he couldn't be switched out with some other guys (even from just around the conference) without similar results. I don't think Henry, McCaffrey, and Watson are as replaceable.

By BertramCooper Go To PostGlad to be here. Missed you a lot, Gondo. Thanks, means a lot. Also thanks for keeping the candle burning with that Pete pic in the CFB thread.
Shame how things ended up over there. But this will turn into a vibrant community in time.
By CRUD Go To PostCooper here wow! Slaent leveled up!Haha, thanks. I like to think so. I considered myself a solid contributor to that community.
In my ban message, the mod said I had a "history of being a jerk." Uhh, okay. Sure, I wasn't afraid to call a spade a spade, but I was hardly some colossal bully.
Plus, a GAF mod calling another poster a "jerk" sure is rich.
Sorry, the salt will wear off in time. Don't intent to waste much time being pissed about something that's ultimately so trivial.
And Gondo, glad you like the Pete pic. I had promised CJ in a private message that I wouldn't make your banning a constant big deal because I was told it would be unproductive and wouldn't succeed in getting you unbanned, but that was my constant reminder to everyone how pissed I still was about it.
Has mre peeked his head over here yet? I get the sense that he's become pretty disenchanted with GAF lately, too.
He has, but it's been a while. I've been emailing with him a bit too.
Might give him a poke that way and try to get him in here for bowl season. In the event that OU and Bama play for the MNC we'll need to combine our powers.
But hey, you got more of an explanation than I did. Getting a "Fuck You" permaban from the owner is what I call going out with a bang. Get on my level son.
