I see Memphis with the 7th seed and the Suns with the 8th seed and Dallas missing the playoffs. If all goes according to plan.
But I still think we can blast through the east. Besides the mediocre defense this year and inconsistent play I still believe that we'll fix our issues before the playoffs. Wade's on pace to play around 60 or so games and he hasn't had any setbacks recently, I think Bron and Bosh can tough it out. Ray's finally starting to play decent and find his shot. I think Battier will find his touch, his shooting slump is the same from the year we first signed him, was mediocre all year and he managed to find his stroke when it mattered most. We've had a ton of different lineups this year which can take some of the blame, but I've been watching over some of the losses and the total lack of effort on D is really apparent, I just can't imagine that lasting through the playoffs. It's encouraging though that we have the best offense in the league and that alone is enough to get to the ECF.
The more I think about it, the more I find myself not caring about the inconsistent play, it HAS been 3 long ass seasons and post season runs, something has to give and if the result is inconsistent regular season play, then what the fuck ever.

We are beating teams we weren't beating without him and are not even playing our best right now. I think they are starting to get on the groove and this weak stretch will help boost their confidence in April against all that tough competition who they play up against anyway.

Unfortunately that's a problem with image embedding in the Document Object Model (DOM). The browser doesn't know what size an image is until it's loaded (doesn't have to be fully loaded), and image HTTP requests are quite heavy and probably the slowest aspect of any page being loaded. You can get around it by setting the image dimensions in either the image tag itself or via CSS, but that only works if you know exactly what the image dimensions need to be -- which I'll be doing for any images I generate via the template.
I'll most likely write a simple JavaScript method that sets the image dimensions dynamically before it's fully loaded, which should eliminate that issue. But I have to weigh it against page performance -- especially if there are a ton of images on the page.
But yes, I hate it, too. I'll add it to the list of things for the new site.

The role players are looking old as fuck though. Depending on how the brackets end up going, I can see the Heat being pretty tired if they have to play the Bulls and Pacers back to back
