On the real, Avenir is good just a bit wide for me and the kerning is quite large.

ITC Avant Garde and Neutra Face have been my obsessions for a while now. Neutra face actually would have been nice for Google now that I think about it. Clean and still has that awesome g.

It doesn't look bad, but I don't think its an upgrade or necessary change over the old one.

I guess it fits into the material design look better but that's kind of a stretch
